Schiphol airport is situated to the south-west of Amsterdam in the area of Haarlemmermeer. The unique feature of this airport is that its elevation is approx. 3 meters below sea level which makes it the lowest European airport.

It is not the cheapest, but worth the money.
If you can use an airport in the Netherlands, than take this one!
