Poprad -Tatry international airport represents the entry gate to the High Tatras and Low Tatras regions that offer the visitors a wide range of services and opportunities in winter sports centres or summer tourist resorts.

The scenery includes an aerial covering area over 100 km. Poprad airport has implemented a detailed airport infrastructure, including: administrative buildings, hangars, buildings of the Air - Transport Europe branch, which is located at Poprad airport, as well as static helicopter models operated by ATE.

The interior of the passenger’s terminal of the airport is made in the smallest detail, in which there are zones of arrival and departure of passengers, a zone of control and waiting for boarding.

The area in front of the airport has been made in detail, where trees and a parking lot are located. Around the airport, the road with markings and road signs of more than 5 km in length and several road bridges have been made.

The scenery of Poprad airport has dynamic lighting that can be controlled using the configurator. Animated passengers, airport staff, including technicians, a dispatcher in the air traffic control tower, a flight crew with pilots and a flight attendant can also be seen at the airport.

  • Runway lighting, taxiway lighting, ALS works depending on weather conditions: reduced visibility, precipitation in the form of rain and snow. Also implemented a flashing light system
  • There is an animated locator at the airport, with a rotating antenna. Windsocks show the direction and strength of the wind
  • Models of static aerodrome transport vehicles, including fire fighting vehicles, fuel tankers and official vehicles, are made taking into account real vehicles that are used at Poprad - Tatry airport
  • Animated passengers, airport staff, including technicians, a dispatcher in the air traffic control tower, a flight crew with pilots and a flight attendant can also be seen at the airport
  • Around the airport and at the airport itself there are trees and grass and depending on the season, they are covered with autumn leaves or with snow in winter
  • During rain, the asphalt becomes wet and puddles appear
  • Configurator for fine tuning, in which it is possible to turn on or off: animated people; animation of airfield equipment; static models; 3D grass

Sein Geld ist er unterm Strich nicht ganz wert. Zwar hat man sich bei der Gestaltung viel Mühe gegeben und auch Liebe zum Detail gezeigt, doch wirkt er insgesamt etwas blass. Das Gebirge rund herum ist sehr gelungen und lässt einen gewissen Flair aufkommen. Eklatant allerdings sind die vergessenen Backturnbuchten an der Runway. Die Nachttexturen könnten für den Preis zudem auch noch ein gutes Stück besser sein; direkt schlecht sind sie allerdings nicht. Insgesamt ein Airport den man im Stock haben sollte, will man auch etwas abgelegener zu einer interessanten Payware in Feierabend-Schlagdistanz fliegen. Allerdings rate ich zum Kauf im Sale, den seine 21 Euro - so finde ich - ist er nicht ganz wert.

The Poprad Tatry LZTT airport is done accurately, with a lot of attention to details. Great is rotating approaching radar. Also surrounding the airport is nicely modeled so immersion is great. My first flight from this airport was in 1966 so I know this airport very well and using this airport many times. The airport is located under the range of the beautiful High Tatras which is the smallest high alpine mountain in Europe. Soon will be available LOD 15 model of both Tatras mountains from LIDAR data so you can enjoy them when you are approaching the airport. The small minus is that talented author could make a sloped runway in P3DV5 , but hope he will do that in the next release. The author is now working on Bratislava airport LZBZ for P3DV4.5+, so the all main airports of Slovakia will be covered in the latest releases of P3DV4.5 +
