PFPX - Professional Flight Planner X - is a new and innovative flight planning tool developed by real-world pilots and dispatchers. It’s a valuable and realistic addition to your flight simulation experience enabling you to create professional quality flight plans similar to those used by real-world airlines.
Take your simulation to the next level!
A user-friendly interface helps to easily build flight plans in a few steps. Advanced options permit realistic flight planning with sophisticated features like Long Range (EROPS) and Re-Dispatch Planning. The printable Flight Briefing Package includes real-time weather and wind charts as well as NOTAM, METAR and TAF reports. Planned routes can be exported to various add-ons like Airbus X Extended, PMDG 737 NGX, 747, MD 11 and Captain Sim 757/767.
PFPX comes with a large aircraft database ranging from Airbus and Boeing types to smaller airplanes like Citation and Cirrus. An open source file format allows simple creation of new aircraft types. Regular navigation database updates are available for realistic route planning.

General:
PFPX uses several types of data to provide real-time information directly into the program. These data are collected from various sources, processed and formatted by our servers and automatically distributed to your local PFPX device. These data are: Winds, METAR, TAF, Tracks and NOTAMs.
Providing this up-to-date real-time data produces quite a large amount of server data traffic.
Server Subscription:
Beginning with the initial activation, a (free) server subscription for 365 days is automatically configured. After this period, the subscription can be extended by purchasing additional server subscription time.
What if my subscription expires?
If you elect NOT to extend the server subscription, PFPX will still be fully functional, but without real-time data such as Winds, METAR, TAF, Tracks and NOTAMs. Other sources, like ActiveSky and RealEnvironment Extreme and your saved weather data and tracks will still be functional! You can elect to extend your subscription at any time, even if it already has expired!
To fully take advantage of all the features we recommend an active internet connection.
Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista, Windows® 7, Windows® 8
Pentium 4 Processor with 1 GB RAM or more
OpenGL 1.1 or higher compatible video card supporting S3TC texture compression
Screen resolution of 1024x768 pixel or more
Internet Connection required (for product activation, online weather/NOTAMs, program updates)
Installations-Size: 400 MB
PFPX has served me for as long as have been in this community.
Its such an intuitive piece of software that brings my part in flight simulation, real world ops to the next level.
Every single piece of functionality adds to the ever wide variety of options for your flight planning. Sure you cant Profile on VATSIM or trying to create a quick OFP for a flight such as SimBrief. However PFPX makes you slow down, think about your inputs and from what I have used in real world Dispatch Software, its a close replica.
I hope the guys at Aerosoft and the guys over at FlightSimSoft have admired PFPX as I have. It is such a shame that PFPX will leave the market very shortly but its a good thing to know that I will still be able to use it in the future.
I wish PFPX the best of luck in the future, and hope it continues its legacy for what it has and will offer to us is truly unimaginable.

Absolutely love this piece of software. It's very professional and is very accurate! I would honestly be lost without this software. It's a recommended buy! I bought it on Aerosoft's website and don't regret it.
The best, complete, accurate, fastest, professional tool ever made for flight simulation community! And It gets better after every update. A must have!
Awesome program! Great for your flight plans, fuel planning, and exporting to nearly every decent payware aircraft on the market. Works off networked PCs and does a great job for me. My only complaint is that is quits from time to time when left open on long flights. This program was essential for me in getting my long haul flight plans as well as flying where flight plans are not a easily available.
The product is just perfect and i used it almost on daily basis.
Short - and medium haul flights are no problem and also long haul flights are planned very easily.
There are dozens of profiles and a/c types avail from aerosoft forums, so extension of my database hasn't been a problem either.
Just can say: Awesome product and awesome job.
Would suggest to everyone to buy it.
Agree with other reviews. Most of my fleet are Captain Sim airplanes, so it was unforgivable to advertise Captain Sim support specifically, then fail to provide it in the actual product. As a flight planner, it is good, and quite complete -- perhaps over-complicated for the average user. But the dispatch function, including fuel planning, that is such a big feature is a bust. A black eye for an otherwise well-regarded company.
Gross false advertisement. There is no aircraft database. The database is created manually by using one of the very few templates provided. I'd guess less than 5% of aircraft commonly flown. It is unethical for Aerosoft to rely upon sim community reviews to get an accurate assesment of an overpriced product. I'll create 1 or 2 aircraft profiles for now and won't renew the real-time services. Don't buy it until it provides basic functionality commensurate with other less expensive planners.
