    • Description

    Anchorage Ted Stevens International (PANC) is the most important airport in Alaska and a destination of many national and international connections. It is a hub for Alaska Airlines and an important cargo airport located conveniently between the USA and Asia.

    In this great state roads are scarce and limited to the major cities. The vast wilderness can only be reached by aircraft, often only by floatplane or small aircraft equipped for off-airport landings. And Anchorage International Airport ‘Ted Stevens’ is at the center of much of this aviation. Add the violent weather and the long hours of darkness in the winter and you end up with an airport that is in every way remarkable and well worth a superb rendering for Flight Simulator.

    Right next to PANC, via a taxiway connection crossing several streets, you can find Lake Hood – the largest seaplane base in the world. Next to Lake Hood there is a dirt strip “Z41” used by aircraft that have tundra equipment attached (special wheels to enable landing on unpaved strips in the wilderness).

    Installation runs via Aerosoft One, this requires an internet connection and an Aerosoft user account!

    Its quite a nice airport. Very good overall ground work, details, terminal detail and jetways and apron work I especially appreciate the modeled interiors for most of the terminal. The jetways are high quality and the code that sets the area for pax to walk in for gsx are well done and arent poking out of the jetway Main terminal building have A details and the rest of the terminal is a solid B. The cargo areas are well done with details and markings as well Just a few cons - I noticed the apron is missing some more detailed things, sometimes. The walk in terminal is missing some more work on interior and the ground markings dont seem to be edited from default texture, but work fine. And overall the ground markings could be better textured, this really helps improve the airport for not too much work, so some more texturing on those would be good.

    I bought PANC in ORBX by Aerosoft Sim Wings and it is an amazing payware airport. It is definitely worth every penny I spent. It fixes the elevation issues it has on the runways, the taxi ways and the aprons all over the airport. They added some other scenery to it and its FPS friendly. Has an awesome Alaska Airlines and Cargo area a long with its huge hangar with logo and everything. This airport alongside the Alaskan Mesh although not necessary if you don't want the Mesh, the airport alone comes with so much in and around the airport. it make a beautiful take off and approach. Its also very nice if you want to VFR. I highly recommend this add on. 5 Stars all the way.
