Lijiang Sanyi International Airport (IATA: LJG, ICAO: ZPLJ) was built in 1995, 25km to the south of city Lijiang. It is the hub of China Eastern Airlines Yunnan Branch. The prefecture level city of Lijiang has a world famous old town with a history of more than 800 years old, which is a popular tourist attraction and one
of the UNESCO Heritage sites.
