Details

The Tecnam Sierra is a sleek, modern 2 seater aircraft designed for the new Light Sport Aircraft category. Tapered, laminar flow airfoils with upturned wing tips and a streamlined fuselage give the Sierra outstanding performance with responsive controls while still offering stable flight characteristics. Fitted with a Rotax 912 100HP engine the Sierra cruises at 110 kts and climbs at over 1000 ft/min. The canopy offers excellent visibility and can even be opened in flight.

Version 2 updates and improves upon the original Sierra adding a new animation manager with interactive checklists and a full flight manual for easy access during flight. Version 2 also adds engine wear and damage modeling, programmed failures, improved stall and spin behaviour, a new nav/com radio, improved transponder simulation, CDI in both versions, improved window transparency and new parking brake/wheel chock programming that locks the aircraft in place.

  • Custom engine startup and temperature logic
  • 13 Liveries included plus a blank white livery. 5 liveries are standard paints which allow the user to adjust the registration number. The other 6 liveries include 1 UK, 3 Australian and 3 New Zealand paint schemes with fixed registrations.
  • Comprehensive Animation Manager that allows the user to set preferences, adjust fuel and weight on the fly, provides aircraft maintenance functions, set programmable failures, interactive normal and emergency checklists and provides a full flight manual for easy access (simply middle click on any knob or button for a full description of that control).
  • RXP model that provides a flat, blank radio stack. This allows the installation of any third party avionics. Included are preset configurations for the Reality XP 530 or 430 GPS, Flight1 GNS 530 or 430 and Flight1 GTN 750 or 650 (Please note: RealityXP GPS and Flight1 GPS are not included in the Sierra, by default the RXP model will show the default FSX 500 GPS).
  • Full lighting including Instrument, Strobe, Nav and Landing lights

  • Pilot's Handbook and Quick Start guide included

Ants Airplanes Tecnam Sierra is the diamond in rough of the flight sim community. It comes with incredible sounds, super smooth gauges and very realistic flight model. Its responsive flight model, coupled with how well it reacts with the weather, adds to the immersion factor. If you are into light aircraft and want no compromises, then this is a must have for your hanger.
