Azrsim’s Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (V3) for MSFS is a major step forward, refining every aspect of the airport’s representation for an even more immersive experience. This update doesn’t just enhance details; it transforms the airport into a vibrant and lifelike hub, built with the highest level of realism.
One of the standout features of V3 is the attention to the airside area, now brimming with high-quality, fully modeled interiors that showcase the terminal’s intricate architecture. Every corner of the airport, from passenger lounges to service areas, is meticulously designed, making the experience of taxiing through or exploring the space feel remarkably authentic. The addition of a metro station further complements the transport hub's complexity, integrating seamlessly into the layout.
The famous military hangar has been revamped, while a new private aviation terminal introduces a luxurious new space that’s just as detailed as the main terminals. Car shades now dot the airport grounds, improving the realism of outdoor spaces and adding to the overall immersion. Inside the ATC tower, the detailed interior brings the control center to life, and the international terminals, along with the piers, are now fully modeled with intricate interiors, capturing the bustling atmosphere of one of the busiest airports in the region.
Custom jetways, including the new SNB models, enhance the boarding and deplaning process, while the custom apron lighting perfectly replicates the orange-ish glow of the real airport, especially noticeable at night when the airport takes on a beautiful, immersive glow.
However, it’s important to note that King Khalid International is a large-sized airport, and the incredible level of detail comes with a performance consideration. With a high number of vertices in the models, especially in the newly added features like the metro station, private terminal, and highly detailed interiors, it’s recommended not to underestimate its performance demands. While the update is all about quality, the size and complexity of the airport mean that users with lower-spec (anything bellow RTX4070/RTX3070) systems may need to adjust settings to maintain smooth performance.
This V3 update for Riyadh King Khalid International Airport is not just about adding more details—it’s about offering a richer, more immersive experience that captures the essence of this bustling Middle Eastern aviation hub. For anyone looking to experience a truly next-level airport simulation, this update is essential, but it’s also important to consider the performance demands due to the high-density models and textures that bring this airport to life.

OERK RIYADH SAUDI ARABIA V3 MSFS20/24, is a resounding triumph that catapults the King Khalid International Airport experience to unprecedented heights. This V3 update is more than just a refinement – it's a transformative overhaul that imbues the airport with a previously unseen level of realism and immersion. From the airside area to the terminal interiors, every corner of the airport has been meticulously designed to showcase intricate architecture, rendering the experience of taxiing or exploring the space remarkably authentic. The addition of a metro station complements the transport hub's complexity, seamless integration into the layout. The famous military hangar has been revamped, while the introduction of a new private aviation terminal brings a luxurious, detailed space to the fore. Custom jetways, including new SNB models, enhance the boarding and deplaning process. However, it's crucial to note that King Khalid International is a large-sized airport, and the incredible level of detail comes with a performance consideration. With performance demands in mind, this update is essential for anyone looking to experience a truly next-level airport simulation, even if it requires adjusting settings for optimal performance. The spectacular payoff is well worth the effort.
Not as impressive as it thinks it is, by quite some way. The interiors are good, but lifeless. No pixellated people to be seen anywhere. And at this price, which is very much high-end, I would expect areas to be populated with animated figure. Plus a working shuttle. And yes, it's a hefty price for an upgrade that doesn't really add that much to the previous version. I do like to have airports for this region, but I doubt I'll buy any more from this developer.
Totally agree with everything Jamie said in his review.
This scenery was only released as V2 in October 2024, and here in February 2025, barely 4 months later he's out with a V3 of the same airport and expects existing customer to shell out another 15 Euros for the update!
This should have been a free update for existing customers, I will certainly not be paying for this updated version. In any case V4 will probably be along in June asking for yet another 15E to update!
It's a shame because Azrsim produces some interesting airports (although of just reasonable quality and with huge performance issues - certainly nothing that justifies charging in the same price league as the greats of FlyTampa, Flightbeam and Pyreegue) but I can't support this kind of business practice. Judging by the product features there is simply not enough in the V3 over V2 that in any way can justify the price being charged.
Very unfortunate and very disappointing.
I purchased the V2 scenery when it was first released. I wasn't totally convinced by the screenshots, but I thought hey let's give it a go! I was VERY disappointed with the quality of scenery for the price I had paid, it was nothing more than a 'ok' scenery. Now, I logged into Simmarket and was excited to see there was a V3 version available, then I looked at the upgrade price. It is an absolute joke that you think charging 18 euros for an upgrade fee is acceptable. Some areas look improved, the ground textures still look absolutely shocking as they were before.
I will be steering clear from any future products by Azrsim no matter the level of improvement.
