The airport is on the paved road that connects Hadibo on the northern coast with Qalansiyah beach, the island's primary tourist attraction in the far west. The journey from the airport to Qalansiyah takes about two hours. Although there is no scheduled transportation between the airport and Hadibo, it is only a quarter of an hour away by car.
