hey guys, I also buy the box version, and this is The Best scenery I ever buy. The FPS is very Friendly, extremly friendly and im very proud about this product. just purchase and come to indonesia. Wonderfull Indonesia
Finally it's been released! :)
I have been following the development of this scenery and I must say this is the most advanced scenery that any local scenery maker in my country have made. I have now owned both Onet Valley's version and BDO Aviation's. Between the two there are the goods and bad, after all no product is perfect. However, BDO Aviation's version is more detailed in terms of the terminal buildings and other aspects. You can actually see the inside of the terminals as seen in the screenshot where as Onet Valley's version only the exterior model. Creating the inside interior of the terminal is quite complex given SHIA's unique architecture. Beside that, the scenery maker have been putting much effort into creating the taxiway bridges that links the old terminal and the new terminal, IMO this is one of the highlight of the scenery.
The coloring of the roofs and the terminal building in BDO Aviation's version is more realistic and depicts the real life colors of the terminal where Onet Valley's one is more darker and got the strange color tone to it.
The ground textures in the airport area (roadways, parking areas and etc) is less detailed than the Onet Valley's version, Onet Valley's version is better in the detail of the ground textures in the airport area. The ground textures around the terminal area (ramps, aprons and runways) are much more better in BDO Aviation's version, the quality is excellent compare to Onet Valley's version where they really depend heavily on photography textures that may look better from high above, but when you're in the ground, it looks blurred, hence it doesn't look really good.
Some building's modelling and texturing detail in Onet Valley's are much more better than BDO Aviation's version, one of them is Garuda Indonesia's office building located just near the taxiway bridges.
I have spoken to the developer about having this scenery submitted to Oliver from Aerosoft so that it can be AES supported and I am pleased that the developer have indeed contacted Oliver to have this scenery AES Supported, if this scenery is AES Supported it will be better :).
The price-wise this scenery cost a little bit more than Onet Valley's version but I don't mind paying for the scenery of my home airport as well as supporting local developers.
The developer gives a good support by email, this is evident from before the release of the scenery.
Few improvements that will sure give this scenery the edge is needed. Including better ground textures in the airport area - I feel the developer could certainly do more effort on this area.
Garuda Indonesia's office building could certainly use some improvement.
Given today's computer specifications I don't see it as an issue if the developer puts more effort into creating and implementing more details texture and some of the building's modelling.
I am giving this scenery 4/5 stars compared to my rating on Onet Valley's version where I gave it 2/5 rating for their extremely poor customer support where as to date, they still have not responded to my email inquiry.
I recommend this scenery for simmers wanting to expand their Asian scenery collection, it certainly worth paying for it.
Cheers! :)
