The scenery is offered in two versions sold separately, one for FS2004 and another for FSX.

San Francisco International airport is the second most important in California and the entire west coast of the United States. Non-stop flights link it to every major city on North America and to the most important international hubs in Europe, Asia and the South Pacific. BluePrint Simulations’ scenery depicts SFO as it exists in the winter of 2014-2015. It includes accurate renditions of the new concourse E and the new air traffic control tower. It also incorporates recent changes to the runways and taxiway layout implemented in compliance with current federal runway safety regulations.

BluePrint Simulations’ SFO scenery includes the airport’s four terminals, one international and three domestic. The international terminal features spacious departure/arrivals facilities and two concourses, A and G. Concourse G functions as the international part of United Airlines SFO hub. Several Star Alliance members and other UAL’s international partners also use concourse G while all other international carriers use concourse A. Some domestic airlines including Alaska, JetBlue and Virgin America also use concourse A for the arrival of their international flights.

Terminal 1 is SFO’s oldest and construction of the new international terminal required demolition of one of its three concourses. The airport’s modernization plan calls for a new, state-of-the-art facility to take its place within the next five years. In the meantime, Southwest and Delta occupy its two remaining concourses, B and C respectively.

Until recently, Terminal 2 was SFO’s international terminal. A comprehensive modernization project included the full replacement of its single concourse. The new concourse D entered operations in 2010. The same project calls for the complete removal within the next two years of the old air traffic control tower and the office building that were part of the original structure. Terminal 2 is now shared by American Airlines and Virgin America, serving as the latter’s most important hub.

Terminal 3 and its two concourses, E and F, make up United Airlines’ main hub on the west coast. A new, state-of-the-art concourse E entered operations in 2012 as part of the ongoing modernization project that also includes major refurbishment of the terminal’s departure/arrival facilities.

BluePrint Simulations’ scenery also includes the new air traffic control tower due for completion in 2015. The new structure is architecturally unique and undoubtedly destined to become SFO’s main icon in the very near future.

  • Custom-made, optimized and fully three-dimensional Gmax models of the entire facility including:
    • Four passenger terminals and seven concourses including the newest E
    • The new ATC tower
    • Accurately located aircraft parking positions around every concourse and individually customized static jetways at every gate. Static service vehicles (optional) and parking alignment aids at every gate
    • All parking structures adjacent to the terminal
    • A significant fraction of the general aviation, aircraft maintenance and cargo facilities within the field’s boundary
    • Approach lighting fixtures and navigation aid antennae for every runway
  • Custom-made, high-resolution (32 px/meter) textures for all Gmax generated models including transparency effects
  • Complimentary custom-made, high-resolution photo real ground textures depicting seasonal changes and carefully blended with the surrounding terrain
  • Accurate runway and taxiway layout, including detailed markings and signs
  • Realistic taxiway and ramp markings and ramp illumination effects
  • Two levels of scenery complexity and detail:
    • NORMAL complexity includes terrain texturing, autogen vegetation, airport layout with taxiway signs and basic navigation equipment models (actual localizer and glide slope radio signals are available regardless of the scenery complexity setting), and most buildings within the field’s boundaries including the terminals, the air traffic control tower and cargo and maintenance facilities
    • VERY DENSE complexity adds detailed instrument approach lighting system models, animated runway intersection lighting, gate parking position alignment aids and optional static ramp vehicles
  • Advanced, custom-made AI mapping file (AFCAD) including realistic gate and parking spot layout as well as airline gate assignments. A basic AI mapping file without gate assignments is also available as an option
  • BluePrint Simulations sceneries are not compatible with FSX default animated service vehicles

I am happy that this developer has taken this project because the Q-400 is one of my favourite aircraft's. As a casual simmer, I am enjoying flying this plane. That being said, there are a number of things that need to be addressed like graphic and texture issues and updates to the speed and flight handling. The plane was release too soon before it was ready in my opinion. Also worth mentioning that this is not a complex aircraft with fully functioning cockpit, if that is what you are looking for then I would look the other way. If you are a big fan of the Q-400, really want one in your sim and not worried about spending $20 bucks on a simple aircraft... then It might be worth taking a closer look at. I do think in time with some updates and fixes that this aircraft could be great for the casual simmer and I am hoping my purchase will help support further development of this aircraft.

A really nice work, with many lovely details, like hangars doors open which allow to see aircrafts inside. Those who know La Blécherette, will recognize the very old typical hangar, with its metallic armature. The restaurant in wing form, is also modelized, including the transparent glasses. There is also some other landmarks around the airport, like the new football stadium. The agricultural farm, in the border of the runway, which was transformed in some very horrible buildings by MSFS, are now fully modelized in details, including a tractor and the farmer! You can choose between 3 helipad, near the REGA building, if you are helicopter pilot. Final-
ly, you have a lot of nice night illumination.

Quite nice airport scenery during the day, good modelling and texturing throughout. One item that is unfortunately typical for MK: The two localiser antennas present are not modelled in 3D and thus are visible as blurred flat things on the aerial imagery. Disappointing for something that you overfly on every approach. These localiser antennas are rather generic objects. Model them once, then use them on all the airports you produce, how hard can it be. The night lighting is another star lost with issues that could have been avoided easily with a bit more quality control: The ATC tower is inside the flood lighting area of the light pole in front of it, meaning even the top of the tower is well lit at night which is just totally unrealistic (and the tower model being rather low-fidelity in both modelling and texturing doesn't help there). Also the hotel building behind the terminal has got atrocious night lighting textures: All its windows are lit as if there's a thousand suns shining inside the building, which is again totally unrealistic and distracting for the night scene because it's quite a large building. Wi-
th these 3 issues resolved the scenery would have a much more natural and immersive look to it.

Visited EFIV last nite. Much better than the MS/Asobo generic airport, but… - the airport ground texture seems to be taken from a winter shot, because they are very bright (snowy?) - which does not really fit for summer. Also, I found the resolution to be rather low. - the runway signs at the threshold have runway numbers inverted. This should be corrected asap, because it so wrong
