From the developer behind the sounds of the FlyByWire A32NX, FlightFX Vision Jet, and the Cirrus SR-22, comes the long-awaited Cessna 172 Sound Set for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Using hours of real interior and exterior recordings made with industry-grade equipment, the Boris Audio Works team brings a complex sound set for the legendary C172 Skyhawk.

This set is compatible with the default Cessna 172, both the steam gauge and G1000 version. It is also fully compatible with the WBSim 172 modification, all in one package. This is a comprehensive sound overhaul that includes features such as:

-Dynamic engine sounds
-Wind and aerodynamic drag
-Buttons, switches, knobs, and levers
-Fuel pump
-Batteries, gyros, and avionics fans*
-Dynamic touchdowns and ground rolls*
-Stall horn with several stages changing intensity depending AOA
-And more!

*This is different in the steam gauge vs G1000 versions. The batteries and gyros make sounds in the steam gauge, while the G1000 is silent, just like the real aircraft. The ground roll of the steam gauge Skyhawk has a different wheel bearing, making the wheel spinning noise sound slightly different.

Good job, however since the last version I have the sound crackling. Something I didn't have with previous versions and the default MSFS sound.

The Best Of The Best!!! Brilliant sound pack. I got the first for X-plane 12 and brought it immediately after it was available for MSFS2020. That man is the sound guru. Very well spend money. Please Boris do more.

Great add-on, very immersive and adds a lot to the experience. I have approx 100 hours in a C172 and it's very accurate.

I haven't bought this sound set (yet), but from the video it sounds fantastic. For me, the true test of a sound set lies in the flyby view, where one can truly appreciate things like positional audio (doppler effect), and it looks like like these guys have nailed it. IT'S A TERRIBLE SHAME THAT MSFS STILL HASN'T GIVEN US A ONE-CLICK FLYBY VIEW, AFTER MORE THAN 2 YEARS. The only way to get a flyby view, like in this video, is with a hugely convoluted method using the drone, which is definitely not my way of enjoying the sim.

With respect to the standard one, the Cessna C172 Sound Set from Boris Audio Works is wonderful, adding another level of immersion to the C172 flying experience. Engine, cockpit and airframe come alive with lots of subtle sound effect that react to changes during the flight in a very realistic and convincing way.
