Natal International Airport - Governador Aluízio Alves (IATA: NAT, ICAO: SBSG) is a Brazilian airport complex, located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. It is located 26 kilometers from the center of Natal and 36 kilometers from Ponta Negra Beach, where most of the hotel zone of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul is concentrated. It is managed by the Inframérica Consortium.

It is the first privatized airport in the country. The terminal has an annual capacity of 6.2 million passengers and was opened on May 31, 2014. Contractually, the Augusto Severo International Airport, former airport terminal, was deactivated as soon as the new terminal started to operate.

Among the medium-sized terminals (handling up to 05 (five) million passengers), a survey by the Civil Aviation Secretariat released in January 2016 placed the airport as the best in Brazil. Likewise, the survey also showed that the complex is the best in 11 items evaluated (out of 48), among them the categories "comfort", "service", "general cleaning" and "public transport". In October 2015, it was elected the best passenger terminal in the country, being the big winner of the 25th edition of the "Upis Tourism Award". In March 2017, the airport was appointed as the largest exporter in the northeast in 2016. In July 2018, the airport was awarded the best in Brazil in the category of up to 05 million passengers by the Ministry of Transport.

Conceived under the concept of "airport-city", the objective is, together with the creation of the Export Processing Zone (ZPE) of Macaíba, pole of attraction for exporting companies, to raise the level of competitiveness of cargo and passenger transportation in the Due to its proximity to the European continent. The complex is seen by political authorities as one of the levers for the economy of Rio Grande do Sul in the coming years. The airport has the official name "International Airport of Rio Grande do Norte / São Gonçalo do Amarante - Governador Aluízio Alves", pursuant to Law No. 12,920 of December 2013
