Details

Paranaguá Airport - Santos Dumont (IATA: PNG; ICAO: SSPG) is a Brazilian public civil aerodrome, located in the coastal municipality of Paranaguá, Paraná.

In 2019, it was announced the return of commercial flights at Paranaguá airport, with Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft from Two Flex, in partnership with Gol Linhas Aéreas, connecting the municipality to Curitiba.

The operations are part of the state government's Voe Paraná Program, which aims to increase the number of cities served by airlines, in return for reducing ICMS on aviation kerosene.

The companies that previously operated were the extinct Varig, Panair do Brasil and Real Aerovias in the 1950s to 1980s, and Pantanal Linhas Aéreas, in the 1990s, with EMB-120 Brasília aircraft, connecting Paranaguá to São Paulo (CGH), Florianopolis and Criciuma.
