The Boeing 737 MAX is the fourth generation of the Boeing 737, a narrow-body airliner manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). It succeeds the Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG). It is based on earlier 737 designs, with more efficient CFM International LEAP-1B engines, aerodynamic changes including its distinctive split-tip winglets, and airframe modifications
IMPORTANT!
For a correct use of the aircraft and the autopilot system it is necessary to set the MODERN flight mode.
Please open the how_to_Install.pdf file to check if you have the correct parameters.

It flies and handles well, it is possible to complete a complete gate to gate flight with SID/STAR/Airways.The FMS is functional but has the usual Asobo limitations which hopefully get fixed and improved along the way.
The external model is OK but has limitations and issues already mentioned so I wound repeat them. The VC layout, modelling and texturing need work. Ordinarily I would have given this 3* but the extra star is for effort. Even with its shortcomings bringing out a functional 737Max and then updating it to address feedback is a good start.
A few other things, FS2CREW Pushback Express and flight crew A320 work very well so if you don't mind using an Airbus Checklist they add to the experience.
Finally I bought other products in the full knowledge they are work in progress. This one is no different and the developer didn't hide that.
Looking forward to the next update.
Can’t shoot an approach (neither RNAV or Radio). Can’t change the squawk code. And cant edit legs in the FMC. Please update this, a pay-ware airliner should at least be instrument legal.
Other than that it’s nice if you’re flying VFR.
1. It fly's very well
2. It will be updated
The Systems are enough for it to work and complete an IFR flight, they have stated its not Study level, and to be honest with the sate of the SDK and the base sim nothing can be study level.
What you get is a very, very lite 737-max simulation. I have completed 4 flights with it, it flies beautifully on approach, the Auto Pilot handles very well, I am not sure VNAV descent works but you can use VS/FLC etc. I truly hope the dev keeps working on it, even if they make a huge update that requires more money that is reasonable I am in. Its a very good add-on because it flies well, it works. Give it credit for that.
Cheers, Pete
One of my biggest takeaways is the external modeling is actually really good. Minus the wing flex (which isn’t a huge thing for me, it might be for some though) the plane looks absolutely stunning from the outside. Plus, at last glance, there are at least 18 liveries that have already popped up on external sites to wrap this beautiful plane in, so you're not going to be stuck with one color scheme. Also, the animations of the flight surfaces (flaps, gear, speed break) were surprisingly seamless.
The cockpit, meanwhile is NOT the most aesthetically pleasing thing I’ve ever seen. It has pieces from several default aircraft filling in parts of the VC, so just be aware that it is not a completely custom 737 MAX cockpit. With that being said, the most stunning part about it is that everything works (potentially even better than the default plane). I didn’t have a single problem with the autopilot, the ILS frequency dialed in immediately within range of the airport and the airplane caught the glide slope just where it should have. So, it may not win points for stunning textures or design in the interior... but for $20, this product is hardly garbage.
P.S. I don't know why people are comparing this to Abacus's products for FSX. To me, the external model alone makes it much more of a legit product offering than anything that Abacus came up with... and at $20, I feel the larger issue stems from false expectations (wanting a PMDG-style airplane for $20 is just wishful thinking) rather than an inherently bad product. It's not a study-level aircraft, but I think its still worth the money to hold us 737-afficianodos over until something better comes along!
thanks
This plane flies well in VR, and does not cause any issues, just wish the HUD could have a dimmer / Brightness knob, its a bit dim in VR on my system compared to the 787.
I had the privilege to follow a gameplay of a streaming that acquired your aircraft, although it is flying very well there were some details that I believe need to be improved.
I have not yet flown this aircraft but the videos and gameplay I have followed is still far from making the simulation 100% real.
I congratulate the team for the effort and the model that is very beautiful, I speak for the external modeling and for bringing an overhead very close to the 737, but however the interactions are far from simulation because some functions are inop and others outside of what is consistent with the reality.
Although the bottom panel is very beautiful it is not as loyal to the real panel and has flaws.
Now the points where you can improve this project.
1 - Texturing and improving the cockpit tri-dimension,
2 - Correct button interactions in the overhead,
3 - FMC is not 737,
4 - lack of N1 and N2 interactions,
5 - The sounds of the cabin,
6 - Sound of the engines are not real,
7 - The plane is so light that it seems to move like a small aircraft,
8 - Winglet navigation lights are out of the real position.
Other than that, the plane is flying perfectly, following route and autopilot is perfect. I congratulate you for the effort and work you had to bring this aircraft so kind to all of us.
Hugs.
Now for the very few issues:
-Autopilot started bugging out close to the approach, flying in circles before straightening up, even flew upside down once... yeah... I'm serious.
-No control for cabin dome lights. Or at least it didn't work for me, however it was there.
-I didn't have an easy time with the taxi, it only allowed me manual steering but no rudder control. Could have been my controller though as I usually use HOTAS and was too lazy to plug it in on first flight.
-On a second run, copilot landed plane on taxiway instead of runway, perfectly too. Asobo or Bredok3d.... who knows....
-No liveries yet only default Boeing which looks nice but give me some free liveries please.... and while you're at it, dude who lets us see the copilot in 2D and VR let's get that updated with 737.... pretty please.
-Oh and.... someone please shock us and model the passenger cabin, we had it in X-Plane so there's no acceptable excuses. Even if you took the same model from X-Plane at least it would be something.
With all that, this is my new favorite plane to fly! I know it could use some work but it did just come out this week and promises to be updated so why punish it with a 4/5? Kudos!!!! Next up A350 I believe in you!
I wanted to fly from Alicante Airport (Spain) to Rotterdam Airport (the Netherlands). I started at Gate 40. I could summon the jetway to connect, the fueltruck, the catering truck and the luggage handlers. Also the external power truck was available to call. Unfortunately the plane was placed too far back, so the extending jetway did not connect with the open door entrance. All doors and luggage hatches are animated. Taxiing to the runway (28) was a breeze; the plane reacts well to the nosewheel steering and thust, brakes well. Take off went well. The plane stays good in line of the centerline of the runawy, I did not notice any excesive turning to left or right. After take off, I had no problems activating and adjusting the autopilot. And when on autopilot, the plane kept her course, speed and altitude very well. I do have to mention, that before the flight, I had made a flightplan by selecting mentioned airports.
When approaching Rotterdam Airport, I gave control to the pilot instead of the autopilot. Just curious how he would handle the landing. We were quite low, lower than all the times, I had flown (as a passenger) this route at this point. The pilot did quite well, but alas, on final turned too late towards the runway and landed 5 meters to the right of the runway! But no crash. So, I could taxi to the apron (Rotterdam Airport has no jetways). Too bad, that after landing, I could not summon the luggage handlers and stairs/jetway. There is no option for that after landing.
Enginesound is derivated from the 747. I did miss the typical "whine" of the engines during take off. But all in all the engine sounds and (speed)warning are good.
Conclusion:
I enjoy this plane greatly and it is just right for me. It also felt right, just like the real 737 when I was aboard. I can recommend this plane. I do hope, that there will also be some liveries (e.g. KLM and Transavia) available some time soon.
For this price I don't expect PMDG. Exterior looks GREAT. Interior looks decent. There are some issues with weird assignments for what does what - your APU Gen shouldn't be APU Master etc... But these things aren't going to kill you.
What will kill you is the autopilot. It CAN get fixed, I am sure, but it MUST before this is a worthy investment. It keeps modifying the flight plan on its own - drawing yellow lines on your PFD - waypoints getting disconnected, reconnected etc... It keeps below 250 knots below FL100 on climb, but not on descent. Calculated Vapp is 86 knots. Say what?
This has a lot of potential, but the autopilot needs a LOT of work, and for an airliner, this is a must have - no one flies these by hand. Everything up until approach went well, then it all just kind of fell apart.
Nevertheless, this is much better than Bredok3D's Eurofighter Typhoon. At least it's believable and CAN be fixed to be functional. But I can't really recommend it in its current state.
There are some minor hiccups but nothing is a deal-breaker by any stretch of the imagination, for example, the indicator lights for the gear stay green when the gear it up and the textures on the inner side of the engine cowlings are mirrored, but I can live with those kind of minor niggles. What are you waiting for? go get it before they realise they could have charged more for it!
