Checkride Examiner turns X-Plane 12 into a mock FAA practical test.
https://xplane-checkride-examiner.onrender.com/
It runs inside the simulator as a virtual examiner: it calls out one FAA ACS task at a time, detects when you start and finish each maneuver, and grades your flying against the ACS numeric tolerances. Afterwards, a report in your browser shows your results, history, trend and weak spots.
FEATURES
- Checkride mode: all 23 PPL/ASEL tasks in a fixed order, with pass/fail revealed at the debrief, like a real practical test
- Practice mode: pick one task, see the result right away, and retry
- Tolerances from the ACS (altitude, heading, airspeed, bank and more), with a 3-second grace period for brief excursions
- Report with score, per-task SAT/UNSAT, deviation charts, flight-path map, history and focus areas; print or save as PDF
- Per-pilot history for shared simulator PCs (no account, nothing uploaded)
NOTE
This is a simulation add-on only. It is not an FAA-approved training device and does not replace instruction from a certificated flight instructor or an actual practical test.
REQUIREMENTS
- X-Plane 12, Windows 10/11 or macOS 11+ (Apple silicon and Intel)
- No Python or XPPython3 needed
- One license key activates one computer (internet needed once to activate)
