Jorge Enrique González Torres Airport12 located near the city of San José del Guaviare in the department of Guaviare, operates several companies; the state airline Satena with one frequency on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays to and from Bogotá, the company Aercaribe operates with two frequencies on Wednesdays and Saturdays to and from Mitú or charter flights to any part of the country, the company Aliansa also operates with flights to Miraflores, Carurú, La Chorrera and Araracuara. This air terminal has served as a supply center for the helicopters that have freed some kidnapped people in the jungle.
