Van Airport (IATA: VAN, ICAO: LTCI) Van Airport was put into service for the first time in 1943. It serves as civil and military. It is located on the near of Lake Van and 8 km from the city center of Van.
It is open to domestic and international flights. Domestic flights are mostly made to the cities of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Adana, Diyarbakir.
There is a terminal building with an area of 16.500 m2. It serves 24 hours. There is a car park with a capacity of 408 vehicles. International flights started in 2011. In 2020, approximately 1,000,000 passengers used Van Airport.
It is the airport where the RNAV satellite landing system was first implemented. Safe transportation is provided with VOR, DME, NDB and LOCALIZER navigation devices.
