Kansai International Airport is the world's first fully reclaimed artificial island airport, which began construction in 1987 and was officially opened to traffic on September 22, 1994.
There are two runways, 3500 meters long and 4000 meters long, which can meet the annual passenger throughput of 33.35 million people.

About Runway 06R-24L: The latest image shows that the damage to the runway after flooding has not been totally repaired yet (But yes, it’s still in use now), we have also simulated this part, you can experience take-off and landing on the runway which is full of patch and missing markings. We will fix it once it be fixed in reality one day.
