Gelendzhik
A Sunny resort town on the black sea coast of the Krasnodar territory of Russia, located around a vast Bay protected by mountains. It is the administrative center of the region that stretches for more than 100 km along the Black sea and is officially called the municipal entity "resort city of Gelendzhik". This structure includes two dozen seaside towns and villages, it is also known as Bolshoy Gelendzhik.

Federal international airport. The airport is in Krasnodar Krai in the city of Gelendzhik, on the Western shore of the Gelendzhik Bay in Tonkiy Mys.
Gelendzhik airport is one of the" youngest " airports in Russia. It was officially opened on may 29, 2010.
In 2004. Gelendzhik airport was closed for reconstruction, during which a new runway was built with a length of 3,100 m and a width of 45 m. and a temporary airport complex with a total area of 1872.2 m2. The first technical landing and take-off of the aircraft on the new runway was performed on December 25, 2008. (Yak-42 of Kuban Airlines).
Since 2010, the airport has hosted a hydroaviasalon, an international exhibition and scientific conference on hydroavianavigation every 2 years.
In 2012, the airport provided emergency aviation services to deal with the consequences of flooding, and in 2015-to extinguish forest fires.
In 2014, Gelendzhik airport was named the best regional airport in the country based on the results of online voting for the Russian air gate award.
