DOLOMITI CROSSES VOLUME 1 recreates 24 real summit crosses across six areas of the Dolomites for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: Sassolungo, Catinaccio and Sciliar; Sella and Cir; Puez–Odle and Putia; Fanes; Falzarego, Col di Lana and Tofane; and Marmolada and Padon.
From Punta Penia on the Marmolada to Sassopiatto, Sass de Putia and Tofana di Rozes, discover the landmarks that mark these mountain summits. Each cross is individually modelled from photographs of its real counterpart, with its own shape, materials and characteristic details.
Real landmarks, individual details.
The collection includes timber and metal crosses, plaques and summit-book boxes, guy wires, the bell on La Varella, the open metal lattice structures on Punta Penia and Tofana di Rozes, and the distinctive stone-filled cage on Gran Cir. The Piz Miara crucifix is modelled at 11 metres tall, complete with its large figure. The Monte Pez cross follows the new design documented in 2026. Dimensions and proportions are reconstructed from photographic references.
Placed for the simulator.
Every cross stands at an altitude measured on its own summit in MSFS 2024. Local terrain-displacement exclusions help keep the bases clear of the surrounding ground, while dedicated levels of detail support their appearance as you approach.
All 24 crosses were checked in the simulator with standard 2D detail settings. Three representative summits, including Piz Miara, were also checked with higher terrain and object detail settings used for VR, and at minimum settings with terrain displacement disabled.
