Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (IATA: LIR, ICAO: MRLB), also known as Liberia International Airport, is the second busiest airport in Costa Rica. The airport is located in the city of Liberia in Guanacaste Province.
Liberia Intl Airport serves specially as a tourism hub for those who visit the Pacific coast and Western Costa Rica. Considered a main "gateway" to the Costa Rican Riviera often called the Golden Coast.
The airport is named for Daniel Oduber Quirós, who served as president of Costa Rica from 1974 to 1978. Just 30 minutes away from the Papagayo Gulf (Four Seasons Pagapayo, Hilton Papagayo, Occidental Papagayo) and 45 minutes to an hour from the other resorts like Westin Playa Cochal, RIU Guanacaste, Tamarindo Diria, Witch's Rock Surf Camp and JW Marriott at Hacienda Pinilla.

A need little perle, made with care and passion!
However, for some strange reason, spots from light poles are completely missing. Hope to see this in an update, making everything completely perfect.
Really great little airport, that's close enough to major US airports that it makes for a great 3 hour destination. Even if you are only going to fly here occasionally, its a good one to add to your collection. It is better modeled than some airports twice the price. Like another reviewer here, Boaz, I reserve 5 stars for exceptional, and this is close.
Don't get me wrong, 4 out of 5 stars in my book, is top grade... 5 out of 5 should only be given rarely.
I just had my first experience with MRLB and first time landing in Costa Rica in the sim or real world! The aiport is well balanced in terms of detail versus strain on the system, and actually it gives much more than what it takes in terms of VRAM and FPS! I only wish Dream flight wouuld consider making more of the surrounding areas, it would be nice for the approach and landing.
Even though they did create custom road systems just on each side of the airport with great looking billboards, but since the LC and corresponding textures of the area is all default, really will make or break your overall impression I think , at least first hand, then yoou notice the outstanding texture and graphic works of the airport, as well as how well they implemented PBR!
Amazing and faithfully reproduced airport, I just wish they would churn out South American or where ever its needed, airports of this caliber! Because we need it!
What can say about this scenery??.. just perfect i love to fly around central america, i was waiting long time for this destination for P3D V4 now come thanks a lot Dreamflight Studios just one more favor update MDDP to P3D V4 please... thanks guys for nice work!!...
MRLB V2 is an amazing update. So much has been refined using the latest techniques and it makes excellent use of the new features of P3DV4. I am very grateful for such an amazing update at an equally amazing price. If Perpignan could also get a makeover for P3DV4 that would be great. I can't wait for the next Dreamflight scenery, whatever it may be.
Amazing scenery! Can't recommend it enough! Dreamflight Studios has created a true masterpiece of an airport scenery. There is no need to go into details, everything is perfect, a true to life representation. They deserve my highest recommendation possible.
