RJAA Tokyo Narita MSFS is a highly detailed scenery of RJAA Narita airport in Tokyo, Japan. This product is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Japan (Japanese: Nippon) is an island country in East Asia located in the northwest Pacific Ocean. It is bordered by the Sea of Japan to the west and extends from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. Japan is the eleventh most populous country in the world, as well as one of the most densely populated and urbanized.
Tokyo is the capital and most populous prefecture of Japan. Located at the head of Tokyo Bay, the prefecture forms part of the Kantō region on the central Pacific coast of Japan's main island, Honshu. Tokyo is the political and economic center of the country, as well as the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the national government. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world, with more than 37.393 million residents as of 2020.
Narita International Airport is an international airport serving the Greater Tokyo Area of Japan. It is located approximately 60 kilometers (37 mi) east of central Tokyo in Narita, Chiba. Narita is the busiest airport in Japan by international passenger and international cargo traffic. In 2018, Narita had 33.4 million international passengers and 2.2 million tonnes of international cargo. In 2018, Narita was also the second-busiest airport in Japan in terms of aircraft movements and the tenth-busiest air freight hub in the world. Its 4,000-meter (13,123 ft) main runway is the longest runway in Japan. Narita serves as the main international hub of Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways, and Nippon Cargo Airlines, and as a hub for low-cost carriers Jetstar Japan and Peach.
The busiest international routes from Narita are Helsinki (Finnair, JAL), Paris CDG (Air France), Amsterdam (KLM), Rome (Alitalia), Zurich (Swiss), Copenhagen (Scandinavian), London (British Airways), and Frankfurt (JAL). The busiest domestic routes from Narita are Sapporo, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Naha (ANA, JAL, Jetstar, Peach, Spring). There are three air traffic control towers at Narita. The Museum of Aeronautical Science is located on the south side of Narita Airport and has a number of aircraft on exhibit, including a NAMC YS-11, 747 nose section, and a number of small piston aircraft.
SCENERY FEATURES
High-quality model of RJAA Narita airport in Tokyo, featuring the up-to-date version with extensive details throughout the whole airport
FPS-friendly design, with epic night textures, dynamic lighting, and PBR materials
Performance-friendly interior modeling of terminal buildings, control towers, and hangars, static aircraft, advanced night lighting, custom animations, custom mesh, custom orthophoto, custom animated jetways
Airport is pretty good overall but there are texture issues and bumps on taxiways and runways. The threshold marking of RWY34L is currently messed up and extremely bumpy. Besides that it's great quality and performance wise.
One of the best international airport add-ons in the market.
The static aircrafts are amazing, with logo and cabin lights on, connected with jetbridge, and cargo doors are opened.
YOU CAN EVEN FIND SOME 777-9Xs IN ANA&EMIRATES LIVERYS PARKING THERE.
When approaching RW34R with a tiny cute 320, there is a HUGE 777-9x below your glide path.
All in all, really had a great time departing from here.
cons:maybe the interior of the terminal needs some improvement comparing to the stunning outside view.
I've been buying from this site for many years and this is my first time commenting, but the quality is the best I've ever seen in a Japanese scenery, not 4 stars. It is worthy of 5 stars, and at the same time, I would like you to make another Japanese scenery someday if you have the opportunity.
I like this scenery and the amount of details, I used it extensively as I fly often to Asia.
The only thing I regret really - not specifically for this DD product but for all of them - is the impossibility to install them where I want (outside of MSFS) using a link to the Community folder so as to manage my inventory of sceneries the way I see fit.
It should not be a big challenge for DD to make their installers in such a way that we have an option i.e. to install by default to the Community folder, or to a folder of our choice.
I agree with Toshiaki's review.
It's basically a wonderful view.
However, there is a bug where the runway number is displayed in reverse on the MSFS world map.
With the current discount, it is a no-brainer. I love all versions of this airport including X-Plane and P3D. One of the best Asian destinations for sure and certainly looks best in MSFS!
I certainly do not regret having spent my money for this scenery! It looks very nice, great attention to details and better performance than expected. Problem with wrongly-displayed runway numbers on the MSFS world map takes place indeed, but according to DD forum they are working on this issue.
I just wanted to say - this is a really great job done for a superb rendition of this massive airport, including a massive amount of detail. The improvement over the Microsoft Flight Simulator’s default scenery is huge - DD airport includes really good quality textures, beautifully-modeled airport buildings and a wide range of static planes. You will see some well-known buildings that surround Narita and even interiors of both terminals and maintenance hangars are there. All of this with the optimization, which is well-enough for me. Absolutely fantastic work!
It's basically a great scenery.
However, there is a bug that the runway number is displayed in reverse on the MSFS world map.
It was pointed out on March 12th in the support forum, but it remains ignored.
