Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR) is a major US airport located in Newark, New Jersey, and one of the three major airports in the New York metropolitan area. It serves hundreds of daily domestic and international flights from over 40 carriers.
This scenery is a complete representation of KEWR with its most recent Terminal A expansion. Main terminals, buildings, and hangars are accurately modeled with detailed 4K PBR textures. As a bonus, this package also includes Kearny Heliport, a major helicopter base located just 4NM to the northeast, perfect for short helicopter hops to Newark and NYC.

I'm loathe to knock the hard work of developers but after paying 16 Euros for this airport I felt I had to review. There are freeware airports that are of a higher standard than this. In fact, the freeware version of KEWR that this purchase replaced was really no different except for the addition of the Terminal A gates. The Terminal A area has a large swath of ground space with barely any ground markings, in this area there are strange static aircraft with their tails facing the buildings and they're surrounded by random light poles that block them in! Overall the ground markings for this airport are really poor also. It "feels" like a freeware airport and that is why this gets 2 stars. For the price, it's just not worth it. I would be really hesitant to buy from this developer again if this is the level of their work.

Let me say that this is not a critical review or in depth in any way other than my feelings about this airport compared to what Asobo had us tolerating. It isn't all that bad & I'm just glad we have a version that resembles the real one enough that anyone should recognize it right off. At least the terminals aren't 10 stories high like office buildings, oh wait, they were office buildings. Ya, so not a bad representation at all considering even the best scenery out there gets roasted occasionally. I had a hard time getting it to show(nothing to do with the scenery) but finally got my content straight. This is a big airport & for not too much money I'm fine with it. If you're looking for DD quality then you might be waiting a long time so for now I'm happy.

At $20.00, this airport does not compare favorably with similarly priced products from Fly Tampa, Flightbeam, Latin VFR or Aerosoft. It isn't even quite on the level of Fsdreamteam's $10.00 products (i.e. CYVR or KSDF). Textures aren't high resolution, and where textures are used in place of glass, the textures don't look very convincing. I didn't love the way the terminal looks at night, but I did appreciate that there is some interior modelling--though not on the level of what you should get at this pricepoint. No cars on the parking garage roof and the street side terminal entrance is barren and lifeless. Airplane-side, things are much better with sufficient amounts of ramp detritus to give a reasonably immersive feel. The static aircraft are great--especially liked the FedEx MD-11s and the United CRJs--and being able to opt to have them parked at gates is a nice feature. There is also some nice heavy metal over at Signature Flight Support. Overall, this isn't a bad effort, but I think that a pretty clear standard has been established for what a $20.00 airport should look like and this is not it.

Excellent work! I love pretty much everything about this airport. The textures (especially the ground textures) are very high quality and the overall modelling is to a very high standard. It definitely invokes that grimy, "used up" feeling these New York airports are famous for. In my opinion the only con is the use of the default jetway models, but honestly, for most American airports, they don't look out of place. I sincerely hope to see KLGA and many other large American airports from this developer!
