The Citation Mustang Experience

The new Citation Mustang is a breakthrough combination of power, speed and true jet affordability. Certified to be flown by a single pilot, the Mustang features state of the art engines delivering speeds of up to 340kts as well as the latest in large-format glass-cockpit flight displays, easing pilot workload, all while passengers relax in one of the largest cabins in its class. Now, Flight One Software and Cessna Aircraft Company have joined forces to bring you an authentic simulation of the Citation Mustang exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Flight Simulator X Steam Edition!

Introducing the Cessna Citation Mustang

The Cessna Citation Mustang is considered an entry level business jet. In the standard configuration, the Cessna Citation Mustang has four passenger seats in the aft cabin and seating for two in the cockpit. Like other small business jets, the Cessna Citation Mustang is certified to fly without a co-pilot.

The Cessna Citation Mustang first flew on April 23rd, 2005 and received full type certification from the FAA on September 8th, 2006. This was a historic moment for Cessna and the Cessna Citation Mustang in general because the Cessna Citation Mustang was the first of its class to receive full type certification. It was also the first to receive certification to fly into known-icing conditions, the first VLJ to be delivered to a customer, and it is from the first company to obtain the FAA Production Certificate for a VLJ.

The Cessna Citation Mustang airframe is constructed primarily of aluminum alloys, with a three spare wing group. One main door is located in the forward left section of the aircraft, with an additional emergency exit located on the center right section of the aircraft.

Unlike many light jets, there is no overhead panel. All the switches and gauges are on the instrument panel and the center console. The thrust levers, pitch trim wheel, flap lever, an alphanumeric keypad for the Flight Management System and the switches for aileron and rudder trim are also located on the center console. The instrument panel is dominated by the huge, centrally mounted multi-function display (MFD) and each pilot has a large Primary Flight Display (PFD).

The Cessna Citation Mustang is powered by Two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW615F turbofan engines, mounted in pods on the aft fuselage. The landing gear is fully retractable and is equipped with anti-skid protection.

Version 1.03. The flight model has increased significantly and the developer is very fast in responding to community wishes. So you can now open the window for instance and the visuals for the spraying has improved further. The aircraft is still difficult to fly, but that's just the case with tail draggers. I upgrade my review from 3 to 5. It is a lot of fun to fly.

An incredibly fun aircraft and I love the new spraying effects. Tha-
t said to make this a 5 star release there's just a few flight model things that need to be worked out, right now it is still difficult to reduce speed because the flaps do not work correctly.
SNJ SIM - FUKUOKA AIRPORT P3D V4/V5
John
Looking at the price I mistakenly was somewhat skeptical about purchasing RJFF, but how wrong I was. I echo my fellow purchasers praise for this airport and want to add a 'very well done' to SNJ Sim for this scenery. What amazing value for money it is and I sincerely hope that SNJ will continue to provide this quality of add-on. My one request would be that they look to northern Japan and produce some of the airports in that area. I almost did not buy RJFF because I have a number of airports located in southern Japan. Kudos to SNJ Sim.

VIELCON DESIGNS - REALISTIC RAIN SOUND FSX P3D FS2004
Ruston
The sounds themselves are excellent - certainly the best I've encountered for the simulator. That said, there is a noticeable hiccup every time the loop resets which I found irritating and impossible to ignore. The hiccup is caused by a fraction of a second of silence before the rain sound begins right at the start of each .wav file. It can be fixed if you have decent sound editing software - just delete the silence. One file has a fade-in effect - you have to get rid of that, too. I did this and the hiccups are gone in all the rain sounds (both internal and external) that I've managed to coax out of P3D thus far. If you're going to try this yourself, be sure you first back up your original VielCon files before starting. Th-
e recordings are worth the price (to me at least), but the developer really should have paid more attention to the editing. Users shouldn't have to edit sound files in a payware product to eliminate such an obvious immersion breaker. Many don't even have the means to do so. Perhaps VielCon will fix the files for future buyers. If so, I hope a future purchaser will post a review indicating the hiccups are no longer present in the unedited product. In that event, you may consider this a 5-star review. In summary, if you have the software and willingness to edit sound files I fully recommend the product. The editing should take you less than half an hour. If you don't, then these will still be a highly significant upgrade to the default sounds provided loop hiccups don't bother you.

Beautiful Scenery, but I have no ILS or SIDs and STARs all it gives me is direct departures and direct arrivals. I wish they would fix this send an update. I contacted WF and they were not helpful.

Version 1.02 the spray system is much better now. Great They added 2 models and winglets toggle. The flaps flightmodel need more work to properly function as they should. Tested wing drop stall, but it's impossible to recover. It's a really fun aircraft.

REALPHYSICS - DORAND AR1 A2 200 MSFS

Finally, a product that satisfies my need for a vintage aircraft. She sounds, feels and looks real. First, I was a bit skeptical reading a couple of negative reviews. However, for only 12Euros I took the risk. What a wonderful plane I've discovered! Be-
ing a pilot, airplane manufacturer and of course aviation enthusiast, I can tell you that you can rarely find such a product. The cockpit and the textures are almost photorealistic.-
The engine sound in particular must have been recorded from the original or a very similar powerplant, based on my personal experience as a frequent visitor of the British air shows and museums mainly in Duxford where you can hear quite similar sounds. Some say the cockpit sound muffled. That is true because you have to have at least a headphone on your ears. Otherwise, you would be deaf pretty soon by the unmuffled exhaust pipes less than a meter away. Moreover, you must have to wear it for the sake of radio communication as well. You can hear the sounds of the structure, the clicks of the switches and knobs, the wind noise as well when the big 900in3 engine is off. The pictures and the description clearly state that the plane is restored with more recent avionics and other up to date materials whilst continuing to maintain the vintage feeling. For me it is quite obvious in 2021 you couldn’t get into the blue with a single compass or other over 100 years old gear from 1916. Those upgrades are extending the usability of the aircraft. I really hope that realPhysics will create other excellent aircrafts such as this from the same era. I wholeheartedly recommend.

The exterior of the aircraft is very nice, so are the visual effects. Unfortunately it is almost unflyable. During takeoff it is very twitchy, but with a little practice it is at least flyable. During landing though:Even though the stallspeed is at 52kts (interestingly according to the cfg file it is the same for flaps up and full flaps) if you fly at 70kts and try to flare, the nose just drops down and even thoug the aircraft was trimmed perfektly for 70kts you have not remotely enough elevator authority to flare the aircraft. (even Version 1 was better in that regard). I hope this can be fixed, then the aircraft gets 5 stars from me. It is exactly what I was looking for. p.s. I have 13.000 real life hours, so I am pretty sure it is not my fault with the landings.
