The iFly Jets: The 737NG is a super sophisticated and complete 737NG addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. High accuracy simulation of the cockpit and systems, along with features such as ground support and push back, make this a premier expansion for FSX. The product has been tested by real NG pilots to help maintain the accuracy required for this simulation.
An entire fleet!
This product offers quite an extensive fleet covering the NG range. This includes the 737NG 600, 700, 700ER, 800, and 900, 900ER, plus the BBJ, BBJ2, and BBJ3. There are several variations among this fleet that you can customize via the configuration manager, including jet engine types, and wingtips.

I sat on this in my wish list for a long time hoping for a sale but never saw one. So I caved and finally got this. Right off the bat I installed the updated services pack from Flight 1. First thing I noticed is when I launch any 737 in FSX SE I get a warning “iFly 737.DLL failed to load”. Yet the plane does load up and flies fine.
The configurator used to set fuel and loads doesn’t send data to the sim, so I have to do that the old fashioned way. The engine sounds are very nice. Distinctive and robust sounding. Being able to add the HUD to any given livery is cool as well as engine options, winglets, imperial vs metric etc. There is a long list of customizable options to satisfy just about anyone. You just can’t do any on the fly and must be adjusted before starting FSX.
The HUD itself is great to have.
The exterior textures are outstanding as well as the lighting and reflection FX. The landing lights at night in fog look so cool lighting up fog and the sides of the plane realistically. The cockpit seems a little bright.
Systems are all in order and auto pilot is as expected with a Boeing.
The flight model is exceptional. Noticeably better than any freeware or the stock 737. It has the believable impression of being the real thing. It reacts like you’d expect a plane of this size to react in all sorts of weather.
Frame rates even in dense add on scenery is 30-60FPS and sometimes higher.
My only complaint is that the initial download comes with only house liveries and a single KLM. That is lame. For the money I’d expect at least ten standard or common airliner liveries to start.
After fumbling about with the livery manager and configuration manager I managed to load up a couple dozen liveries downloaded from Flight 1. It’s so tedious and time consuming.
Overall I’m happy with the iFly 737s and am enjoying flying them. I just don’t feel it’s worth $55 USD at this stage of the game. But what are you going to do?
