Description
The Aviatik ( Berg) D.I, was a WWI biplane fighter,designed by Ing. Julius von Berg in Austrian Aviatik.
The D.I was the first indigenously designed fighter aircraft of the Austro-Hungarian air.In service 1917-18.
Powered by Austro-Daimler 6-cylinder water-cooled in-line 200hp engine,was fast,had excellent flying characteristics and maneuverability, and could reach higher altitudes than most of its adversaries.
