FreyFlight 737 Training – 10 Training Flights for the Flight Simulator
This practical training book is designed for virtual Boeing 737 pilots who want to understand not only which buttons to press, but also why the aircraft reacts the way it does.
Ten structured training flights guide you through key procedures and typical situations in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Each flight focuses on a specific training objective and combines flight planning, FMC operation, autoflight systems, ATC clearances and cockpit monitoring.
Topics include FMC, LNAV, VNAV and MCP interaction, SID and STAR procedures, altitude and speed constraints, ILS intercepts, Localizer and Glideslope capture, energy management during descent, RNP approaches and VNAV PATH, anti-ice operation, crosswind approaches, SPD INTV and runway changes during the approach.
Numerous cockpit screenshots show the decisive moments directly in the simulator. The focus is not simply on following a checklist, but on understanding what the aircraft is doing and why.
The training flights were created primarily with the iFly 737 MAX in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The underlying procedures and principles can also be transferred to other high-quality Boeing 737 simulations.
