Weit entfernt von Europa und weitgehend unbekannt für uns Europäer befindet sich der Ferne Osten. Der Teil der Welt, der gemeinhein die Staaten China, Japan, Nordkorea, Südkorea sowie die südostasiatischen Länder Indonesien, Malaysia, Thailand und Vietnam zugeschlagen werden. Einige davon wie Thailand sind als Urlaubsregionen beliebt, andere wie China, Japan und Südkorea als Wirtschafts- und Handelspartner gern gesehen und von enormer Wichtigkeit.

Szenerien für Fernost

Wie sieht es in Sachen Flugsimulation aus? Die meisten Flächen- und Airportszenerien für MSFS 2020 und MSFS 2024 erscheinen traditionell für Europa und Nordamerika. Wie sieht das in und für Fernost aus? Flächenszenerien sind Fehlanzeige, davor gibt es beim genaueren Hinsehen (sehr) viele Flughafenszenerien. Gemacht vor allem von Label aus Fernost, nur europäische Designer wie Drzewiecki Design, MK Studios und The Secret Studio wagen sich so weit von daheim an die Arbeit.

Die Recherchen für diese Special ergaben gut 30 Designlabel, die Airports für und in Fernost erstellen und anbieten. Mit allen wurde Kontakt aufgenommen, einige Label reagierten nicht auf Mails. Die Mehrheit zeigte sich kontaktfreudig und reagierten auf Verbesserungsvorschläge.

Herausgekommen ist nach einigen Monaten Arbeit, etlichen In- und Destallationen sowie der Erstellung ungezählter Screenshots ein 95-seitiges PDF, in dem 13 Länder besucht werden, 14 Städte und 48 Airports von insgesamt 20 Designern. Die meisten der gezeigten Szenerien sind mit dem MSFS 2020 und dem MSFS 2024 nutzbar. Ständig werden mehr Szenerien an den MSFS 2020-Nachfolger angepasst. Bald dürften es alle sein...

Wie kommt Ihr virtuellen Piloten hin? Entweder Ihr startet direkt in Fernost und erkundet die Länder, Städte und Airports oder Ihr fliegt auf der Langstrecke hin: PMDG https://pmdg.com hat die 777-Serie im Programm, iniBuilds https://inibuilds.com die A350 und die A340 (letztere nur für den MSFS 2024), als Freeware kommen die Boeing 747-8 von Salty https://api.flybywiresim.com/installer sowie die MSFS-eigenen Modelle 747-400 oder 787-10 in Betracht. Die 787-9 gibt es zudem als Freeware von Horzion Simulations https://headwindsim.net/installer.html.

Shops und Danksagung

Im PDF sind die Bezeichnungen und die Shops genannt, unter denen die Angebote ermittelt und erworben werden können. Auf eine Linkliste wurde wegen des großen Umfangs des Specials verzichtet.

Als Quellen für die diversen Szenerien waren - in alphabetischer Reihenfolge - vor allem Aerosoft https://aerosoft.com, Contrail https://contrail.shop, Orbx https://orbxdirect.com und SIMMARKET https://simmarket.com am Start. Von flightsim.to kam die Freeware. Danke Euch allen herzlich!
