La Chinita International Airport FSSDesigner (IATA: MAR; ICAO: SVMC), also known as Maracaibo Airport, is the main international airport of Maracaibo, the second most populous city in Venezuela and the capital of the Zulia state.At first it was called Caujarito Airport due to the name of the land where it was built but later it was changed to La Chinita in honor of the patron saint of the Zulia state, the Virgin of Chiquinquira. La Chinita Airport is located in the municipality of San Francisco, in the state of Zulia, 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of the city center of Maracaibo.
