FSXLive.com has been updated to version 1.1. It includes gauges, better known as the six-pack in cockpit terms.
 

FSXLive.com is an moving map for Flight Simulator X running inside any modern browser. This means you can run it on your favourite computer system, including Smart TV, PlayStation, Xbox, Android, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Using the free FSXFollow.exe client you can track your flight from any browser and any place, even on the go. No entering of IP address is required. FSXLive.com provides an additional screen functionality plotting your simulated location on top of Google Maps. In addition FSXLive.com supports FSX Flight Plans. More features will be added in the near future.

Preis wurde im letzten Jahr von 6 auf 10€ erhöht. Der Tracker wird NICHT weiterentwickelt, keine neuen Funktionen. Ich möchte jedenfalls nur warnen, 10€ für eine 1-Jahres Lizenz auszugeben, wenn ähnliche Tools Freeware und obendrein auch noch besser sind. Nutze jetzt fsxtracker.com und bin voll zufrieden damit!

I was looking around for a moving map addon to enhance my FSX experience and came across FSX Live. Device independent I could have a phone, tablet or laptop beside my rig showing exactly where I was flying via Google Maps. FSX Live does all that and quite probably more to come, and excellent low cost must have. I had a minor issue with logging in to the server and an email to support got it sorted in a very short time, very impressive customer service. Highly recommended!

This is great. Simple and easy. A great option is a new chat feature where you can chat to other pilots who are on-line at the same time. You can chat at www.tcasification.com all you need to do is join and a chat password will be sent to you.

When recently googling for new add ons for my FSX program, I came accross a utility called FSXLive by PositionGames.com. So how does FSXLive work? First of all you need to download a free utility from www.fsxlive.com. Then you need to start the FSX program and the tool called FSXFollow.exe. This tool recognises that FSX is running. Next thing you need to do is log on to the PositionGames.com server (as this does not happen automatically). I was able to choose any name for my flight. The flight name is important, I will explain why later. As soon the tool was running (and my FSX), I noticed in the log that the tool is sending the plane’s location to a server every few seconds, which I found handy so I could clearly see that FSXFollow was running successfully. Happily I didnt have to enter any IP address, as usually this is required for other tracking add ons.  Now the user is ready to fly so you can proceed to http://FSXLive.com. The good thing is that this works on all the computers/gadgets I have. I tried using a Mac, PC and XBOX 360 and yes, it evens works on my 60” Samsung smart TV. So how does this system work? The system sends all the airplane data to a server through the utility. The browser page also connects to the FSX server. You will see in the screenshot a list of airplanes (or sessions). These sessions are airplanes from other users using the same system and are logged on at the same time. This allows you to watch where others are flying. So when I click on my flight name it automatically updates the location of the plane on google maps instantly. This screenshot shows the location of the plane and the green line represents the flight plan. The flight plan is also shown, with each waypoint listed seperately. So is this software all for free you might ask? Yes, however there is one minor catch. The system works for 10 minutes after you start the FSXfollow.exe utility, then the plane’s location will revert to 0 longitude and 0 latitude. When you want to use it without the time limit, you need to pay €6.99 subscription for one year. Not much to spend since your flight is accessible from any modern browser. I was able to pay through paypal and within 8 hours I got my serial key. I entered the serial key and my email address and it worked straight away. Pros No IP address needed Works on any device with modern browser, including iPad, Android Tablet, XBOX, PC, Mac worth the money Cons - I had to log on manually after starting the FSXFollow utility.
