The Aspres-sur-Buëch aerodrome is a special aerodrome in the sense that it is positioned on a small plateau overlooking the Buëch region. Some pilots call it "the aircraft carrier" because landing on this field could resemble a deck landing!

The Aspres aerodrome, also known as the Chevalet aerodrome, has a wild character. Lost in a bright valley, in the middle of the mountains, the Aspres aerodrome will delight pilots who prefer to fly far from the tumult of large aerodromes.
