Isfahan or Esfahan/Espahan (Persian: اصفهان; [esfæˈhɒːn] ⓘ) is a major city in the Central District of Isfahan County, Isfahan province, Iran. It is the capital of the province, the county, and the district. It is located 440 kilometres (270 miles) south of Tehran. The city has a population of approximately 2,220,000, making it the third-most populous city in Iran, after Tehran and Mashhad, and the second-largest metropolitan area.

Isfahan is located at the intersection of the two principal routes that traverse Iran, north–south and east–west. Isfahan flourished between the 9th and 18th centuries. Under the Safavid Empire, Isfahan became the capital of Iran, for the second time in its history, under Abbas the Great. The city retains much of its history. It is famous for its Persian–Muslim architecture, grand boulevards, covered bridges, palaces, tiled mosques, and minarets. Isfahan also has many historical buildings, monuments, paintings, and artifacts.

Isfahan Shahid Beheshti International Airport (IATA: IFN, ICAO: OIFM) (Persian: فرودگاه بین‌المللی شهید بهشتی اصفهان) is an international airport serving the city of Isfahan, Iran.
The airport is named in honor of Shahid Beheshti. For administrative and census purposes, it is considered a village in Qahab-e Shomali Rural District, in the Central District of Isfahan County, Isfahan province, Iran. The airport has two terminals, one for domestic flights and one for international flights.

Just adjacent to the airport is Khatami Air Base, which was built in the 1970s specifically to cater to Iran's fleet of F-14 Tomcats.

An excellent scenery - as is the case with virtually every FoF release! This is yet another incredibly detailed airport with no performance impact whatsoever. Great textures and stunning modelling throughout, I can only congratulate to the devs! It is great to see more and more Iranian airports being added to our map of virtual destinations. I hope to see Shiraz, Mashhad, Tabriz and Chabahar in the future, to complement what's already available.

Great job on this airport. Very lovely addition to MSFS. Thank you for doing this rather accurate scenery for the sim. We needed this.
