    • Description

    Christchurch International Airport (NZCH) is the main South Island airport, the second-biggest in New Zealand after Auckland. This scenery includes a large area of photoscenery depicting the city of Christchurch, and a large section of Canterbury between the Ashley and Rakaia rivers, including Banks Peninsula.

    Updated to v1.10: This update adds installer support for Prepar3d v5.

    Version 1.10 comes in two releases, the full photoscenery release which includes a large part of Central Canterbury, and a new airport-only release, for those who prefer to see landclass outside the airport boundary. 

    Features:

    • Custom-built, photographically textured Christchurch International Airport;
    • Works with and without Orbx NZSI;
    • Approx 7,000 square kilometres of photoscenery, at least 1.2 metre/pixel;
    • Christchurch City at 60cm/px;
    • Christchurch International Airport at 7cm/px.
    • Animated jetways, controlled by SODE;
    • Prepar3d v4 version includes dynamic lights on the tarmac etc.;
    • 5 metre elevation data for much of the photoscenery area;
    • ...1 metre elevation data for the airport and surrounds;
    • GSX 'ini' file included to add GSX features to the gates, including visual guidance systems.
    • Approx 2.34GB download for 'full' version, 1.48GB for 'airport-only' version.

    Very nice result for the second busiest airport of NZ. You have the option to install the airport only, or it's surroundings as well. Fits in well with ORBX. SODE work great, night lighting is beautiful. Always lovely and relaxing to fly in NZ. The dev is also very fast at replying and willing to help!

    A huge improvement from the default scenery. Some ground textures are not as detailed however, that can be overlooked. Well done.

    2 Sterne Abzug weil: Der Installer V1.10 meint zur P3Dv5 Version hat man die Möglichkeit zur freien Wahl des Installationsodners, installiert dennoch fix in C:\Programme\Godzone. Das ist absolutes NOGO. Szenerie ansich ist sehr gut gelungen, kann man empfehlen.

    A nice scenery with good framerates from one of the most decent and helpful developers in the market. As the second most important airport in New Zealand fills a major gap - even more importantly so as it seems unlikely we will see a dedicated Auckland. Can be installed as airport only, but also the full installation with photoscenery blends well with Orbx NZ South. Please note, that as stated in the specifications, this version installs ONLY on P3D.

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! This airport is so long overdue. Excellent representation of NZCH and surrounding area. Very detailed (and future proofed - showing the city's iconic Cathedral already repaired after the damage sustained in the 2011 earthquake). Very easy going on frame rates too. If you haven't done much virtual flying in NZ, then combine this with the stunning ORBX NZ sceneries and prepare to be dazzled. This is also a great companion scenery for those who have Aerosoft's Antarctica X, as this is where the vast majority of the US Antarctic Program flights depart from.
