Villavicencio is a municipality in the capital of the Meta department and the most important shopping center of the Eastern Llanos.4 It is located on the foothills of the Cordillera Oriental, northwest of the department of Meta, on the right bank of the Guatiquía River. Founded on April 6, 1840, it has an urban population of approximately 551,212 inhabitants by 2020.is one of the few places where you can see DC-3 airplanes in service.
