Description
Japura Airport (IATA: RGT, ICAO: WIBJ) is an airport operated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DITJEN HUBUD) of the Ministry of Transportation, located in Lirik District, Indragiri Hulu, Riau.
The airport, which serves Rengat and surrounding areas, can accommodate BAe 146, ATR 72, ATR 42, Fokker 50 and other mid-sized aircraft.
Since March 5, 2015, the Indonesian Aviation College (STPI) has opened Satellite Out Base Flight Training, operating 5 aircraft with the type PA 28-161 Piper Warrior III.
Pioneer flight activities will begin in January 2017 with the Rengat-Batam pp route.
