Standalone mission planning tool for flight sim helicopter pilots: mass & balance, fuel planning, hover performance and a dispatch-style OFP, for 10 helicopter types and 23 mission profiles.

DESCRIPTION
HEMS OPS prepares your helicopter flight the way an operator would. Pick an aircraft and a mission, load the crew and equipment, plan the fuel, enter the weather, and get a full operational flight plan before you start the engines.

It runs on its own, outside the simulator, so you can use it on a second screen with any sim: MSFS 2020/2024, X-Plane, P3D or DCS. The interface follows real electronic flight bag conventions: clean, day-only, with your entries in cyan, computed values in green and missing data clearly flagged.

Mission & loading
- 10 helicopter types, 23 mission profiles in 7 categories
- Ready-made load configurations: crew, medical equipment, rescue hoist, cameras, searchlight, cargo hook loads
- Set each load to board at base or at the landing site (patient pick-up, sling load hook-up, troops)

Mass & balance
- Mass and CG calculated for every flight phase: zero fuel, takeoff, arrival and departure at the site, destination, return to base
- Longitudinal and lateral CG envelope charts
- Instant warnings for MTOW or CG limit exceedance
- Editable aircraft profile to match your own airframe's empty mass and CG

Fuel planner
- Leg-by-leg trip fuel with headwind, approach time and rotors-running time on site
- Contingency, alternate, final reserve (VFR day, VFR night, IFR) and extra fuel
- Block fuel goes straight into the mass & balance
- Direct return to base option: cancel the destination with one click

Hover performance
- IGE and OGE hover capability at base and at the landing site
- Pressure and density altitude, maximum hover mass, power margin and limiting factor
- Wind effect on hover performance
- Hover ceiling charts for every outside air temperature
- Built-in METAR decoder (enter the METAR, OAT/QNH/wind are filled in)

Dispatch OFP
- Text-format operational flight plan in the style of real dispatch releases
- Route, fuel plan, weight & balance per phase, performance and weather
- Frozen once generated, with its own OFP number; copy or save as a text file

DATA TRANSPARENCY
Aircraft data come from public type certificate data sheets, flight manuals and manufacturer specifications. Every value is labelled in the app as official, approximate or estimated, with its source. Hover performance is calculated from a power model calibrated on published hover ceilings, and the app shows the model against the published figures.
