Lincoln is the capital of the US state of Nebraska and the seat of Lancaster County. It was founded in 1856 as Lancaster and incorporated on April 1, 1869, having been renamed Lincoln on July 29, 1869.
It is situated on the banks of the famous Missouri River. The city is the vacation destination for the inhabitants of the state.
