Description
Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary archipelago, belonging to Spain. The relief of the island is dominated by the Teide volcano, with its 3,718m, the highest mountain in the country.
Tenerife occupies a central position, being the only island in the Canaries that has two international airports, Tenerife Norte Airport, Tenerife South Airport.
Unfortunately, Tenerife is also known for the Tenerife air disaster, the air collision that occurred on March 27, 1977 at Los Rodeos airport in the north of the island, was the catastrophe with the most victims in history, remaining as the air accident with the most victims in the history.
