Description

Turin is an Italian commune, capital and largest city in the Piedmont region, and effectively the fourth largest city in the country, behind only Rome, Milan and Naples.

Nowadays the city is a large industrial area, known particularly as the headquarters of the car manufacturer FIAT. The city is home to the Lingotto building, which was once the largest car factory in the world and is now a convention center, concert venue, art gallery, shopping center and hotels. Other companies founded in Turin include Invicta (1821), Lavazza, Martini, Kappa and the Caffarel chocolate factory.

It is also a hub for the aerospace industry, with Alenia. Some key elements of the International Space Station were produced in the city.
