Hong Kong International Airport is the main airport in Hong Kong, built on reclaimed land on the island of Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong. The airport is also known as Chek Lap Kok International Airport or Chek Lap Kok Airport, to distinguish it from its predecessor, the former Kai Tak International Airport.
The airport is operated by the Airport Authority 24 hours a day, with approximately 65,000 employees. More than 100 airlines operate flights from the airport to over 180 cities worldwide.
The Lights have been added to increase the realism of the simulator. They are visible at great distances and over a wide area of the airport. Not only the buildings, but also the Arrivals and Departures terminals, parking and gates are lit in the same way as the real airport.
