The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a single-seat subsonic carrier-capable attack aircraft developed for the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps in the early 1950s. The delta-winged, single turbojet engined Skyhawk was designed and produced by Douglas Aircraft Company, and later by McDonnell Douglas. It was originally designated A4D under the U.S. Navy's pre-1962 designation system.

The Skyhawk is a relatively lightweight aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of 24,500 pounds (11,100 kg) and has a top speed of more than 670 miles per hour (1,080 km/h). The aircraft's five hardpoints support a variety of missiles, bombs and other munitions. It is capable of carrying a bomb load equivalent to that of a World War II–era Boeing B-17 bomber, and can deliver nuclear weapons using a low-altitude bombing system and a "loft" delivery technique. The A-4 was originally powered by the Wright J65 turbojet engine; from the A-4E onwards, the Pratt & Whitney J52 engine was used.

Skyhawks played key roles in the Vietnam War, the Yom Kippur War, and the Falklands War. Sixty years after the aircraft's first flight in 1954, some of the 2,960 produced (through February 1979) remain in service with the Argentine Air Force and the Brazilian Naval Aviation.

This package depicts a number of different versions of the A-4 family, specifically the A-4E/F and its derivatives (A-4G for Australia, A-4H for Israel and early A-4K for New Zealand). "SuperFox" versions (late A-4F with J-52-P408 engine mostly used for adversary role) are also included.

    This package features:
    - Detailed external visual models with customizable loads. External visual models include:
       - Older A-4E with no avionics hump
       - Upgraded A-4E with avionics hump
       - A-4F, A-4G, A-4H and early A-4K (before project KAHU)
       - A-4F "SuperFox" including special model for Blue Angels

    - Detailed virtual cockpit rendition. NOTE: Only one cockpit model provided: early A-4F model is used for all the visual variants

I can’t believe this was just sitting in the store here for FREE! I’ve had my eye on this plane for a while but kept hesitating because of the minimum requirements. Well being free means no risk so I got this and checked it out. The minimums listed are way extreme and totally NOT necessary if you’re just flying around off line without TAC PAC. Maybe the noted mins are intended for use in TAC PAC and multiplayer situations. Here is what I’m running this plane on without any issues at all: win 10 Intel i7 16GB Ram, Intel UHD 630 integrated GPU 128MB dedicated GPU memory. I’m flying this plane around a bunch of photo real scenery add ons that include full airports and some cities. No chug or anything. So it’s my opinion that if you are going to be using this as I described then you do NOT need to be concerned with the min requirements of this or any IndiaFoxEcho Visual Simulation products. The cockpit is well done and very accurate. They really nailed the agile and responsive flight characteristics of the A4. I also have the Virtavia A4 and IFE blows that away. IFE payed great attention to the realism of the A4s and that translates to a really fun to fly subsonic Cold War/ Vietnam era aircraft. I knock 1 star because there’s only a single cockpit camera, and other camera angles would really make cockpit visualization much better.

I purchased this product about a month ago and have had quite a few mixed feelings about it. To begin ill say what is good, the visuals. This aircraft is so beautifully modeled inside and out, this aircraft is just simply gorgeous. Also the flight model is a very fun aircraft to fly with great the high speed and maneuverability of the real a4 is modeled very well, this thing will go toe to toe with an F/A-18E easily in a dogfught and serves as a great adversary training platform which is what I use this aircraft for in my virtual squadron. However while it is very fun going fast and pulling G's when things get slow it is rather unpleasant. The engines react to power changes so terribly slow and are either putting out way to much power or are at idle there seems to be no in between this is much like the E2 C2 package Dino released so I know this is not just how the aircraft is. Now moving onto the aircraft systems, this a4's systems are modeled relatively well with most things you need to work seeming realistic that being said as per the real a4 the aircraft itself is very simple as far as avionics go and combined with the nice radar and the afcs makes for a nice cross country platform. Moving on to why there is an A in A-4 is the weapons. The tacpack integration is rather nice with the ccip gunsight, the lau 10 rockets, and the m82 and 83 bombs makes for a fun air to ground platform. sadly the included agm's do not work unfortunately, rightfuly so since the a4's did not have these until late in there existence. One thing is particular on the A-4F superfox models the guns which appear on the aircraft do not work as well as the Aim 9Bs will not track there targets either. Also there is no chaff or flares on that model aswell. Overall this model earned 3 stars for most I would say 4 stars however I emailed Dino two weeks ago about getting help with the aircraft and he is still yet to respond. Also the Price of 25 euros is a bit much for an fsx model of this quality at the least Dino could offer the discount present for owning both the TA-4 for p3d users, and this but that may just be me really wishing I had the money to Buy it. Unless tacpack is a necessity I would have to say the virtavia A4 is a bit better of a value at only 13 dollars you can get everything this offers at a little less of an exterior model quality. Nonetheless this aircraft is respectable and hopefully Dino will not abandon it like his E2 C2 project. Overall id say its worth a buy if money is no factor.
