The Aermacchi MB-339 is a military jet trainer and light attack aircraft designed and manufactured by Italian aviation company Aermacchi.
The MB-339 was developed during the 1970s in response to an Italian Air Force requirement that sought a replacement for the service's existing fleet of Aermacchi MB-326. Its design was derived from that of the MB-326, rather than a new design, and thus the two aircraft share considerable similarities in terms of their design. Aermacchi had found that the MB-339 was capable of satisfying all of the specified requirements while being the most affordable option available. The maiden flight of the MB-339 took place on 12 August 1976; the first production aircraft were delivered two years later.
Roughly half of all MB-339s entered service with the Italian Air Force, while the remainder have been sold to various export customers. As well as being used for training, the type is also flown by the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic display team. The type has been used in combat by both the Eritrean Air Force during the Eritrean–Ethiopian War of 1998-2000 and the Argentine Naval Aviation during the Falklands War of 1982. In both conflicts, the MB-339 was typically flown as an attack aircraft.

2 models (MB339A and MB339Pan) in the package (which is appreciated).
I love all details in the cockpoit, very realistic.
Unfortunately, there is not a checklist but it is easy to find it...
Well, would get 4,5/5 but it's not possible so 4 stars (difficult to be perfect:-).
I really enjoy this plane.
Highly maneouverable at 400kts and tough enough to not overstress at that speed. That means that you can open up the throttle and zip through canyons, city's,...
The different liveries make for some fun variation, the outside is simply stunning and the inside is also very nicely done. The only part that is still not up to standard is the sound, it would be nice to get a bit more realistic jet sounds on the outside of the plane. But don't let that deter you. I highly recommend this plane.
It even comes with a 66 page manual! Talk about attention to detail!
The only major issue I have with this model is the lack of in-game checklists, I know about the manual but in-game checklists is, in my opinion, the best new feature of this simulator and is great for newcomers. It's something that payware aircrafts developpers should stop ignoring.
The plane is just fantastic, it flies like a charm and despite not being the pro version it is very very complete.
Absolutely recommended especially for the incredible price
I couldn't get any sort of autopilot or on the fly GPS to work as the buttons for that are inop. It flies nice and is easy to land. The control surfaces are animated. Speed brake as well. Canopy opens and is animated. No ejection seat or weapons which is to be expected but you can take the ejection pin out which is a nice touch. There's several liveries included which are very high quality. It could definitely use some more functionality and I hope there's some more work done to it. Compared to the DCS version, there's just no comparison. This is very much a "lite" version of the aircraft in terms of systems.
The warning light test button lights up all of the lights and you can dim the lighting. So, it's not completely bare bones. All in all, it's a nice plane. Would like to see more functionality, of course, but hopefully that comes in time with an update or as the market sees more planes being released.
You also get the aerobatic model of this plane which comes with 1 livery. So, that's a nice bonus. All in all. 3/5 stars. I would really like to see more functionality in future releases. This is one of the first professional add-on planes to be released for FS20. Hopefully, as time goes on devs will start adding more detailed systems to their payware planes. It would be nice to see updates/patches released as well to add more functionality.
Due to the high-detail model and textures, we suggest to use the MB-339 on systems that meet or exceed the following requirements:
CPU: 3.5GHz quad core processor or better
GPU: at least 4Gb dedicated memory, Nvidia 960 or better recommended
RAM: 6.0Gb minimum
Hard Disk: 1.8Gb required for installation
THIS PRODUCT WILL ONLY RUN WITH MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR
