IMPORTANT! This is a special version of the TA-4 SKYHAWK for P3Dv4.4 project designed to work with Flight Simulator X (Acceleration, Gold or STEAM versions only - will not run with vanilla FSX).
With respect to the P3Dv4.4 version, following changes have been made:

- Replaced PBR materials with traditional ones

- Removed Backseat/Instructor cockpit

- Radar scope images provided through the FSX:GPS mapping services (as opposed to the P3D Radar service)

The TA-4 Skyhawk (often nicknamed "Scooter") is the trainer version of the venerable Douglas A-4 Skyhawk.
In the Unites States Navy the TA-4J configuration was introduced to a training role replacing the TF-9J Cougar. The TA-4J served as the advanced jet trainer in white and orange markings for decades until being replaced by the T-45 Goshawk. Additional TA-4Js were assigned to Instrument Training RAGs at all the Navy master jet bases under RCVW-12 and RCVW-4. The Instrument RAGs initially provided jet transition training for Naval Aviators during the time period when Naval Aviation still had a great number of propeller-driven aircraft and also provided annual instrument training and check rides for Naval Aviators. The small size of the Skyhawk and superb low speed handling in the hands of a well trained aviator made it ideal to teach fleet aviators the finer points of DACT. The squadrons eventually began to display vivid threat type paint schemes signifying their transition into the primary role of Adversary training.
Variants of the TA-4 have also been used for advanced training by several other countries including Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Brasil and Argentina.

This model features:
- Detailed external visual model with customizable loads. User can also pick between different options for guns and refuel probe.
- Detailed virtual cockpit rendition for both the front (student/pilot) cockpit only (no instructior/backseat)
- Extensive usage of PBR materials
- 16 detailed liveries including U.S.Navy Traning and Adversary Squadrons, Blue Angels, Australian Navy, Israeli Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force
- Accurate flight model based on real world flight manuals
- Support for VRS Tacpack (required for weapons functionality)
- Detailed manual (note: the manual provided is for the P3D version, but differences are minor)

IMPORTANT! This product requires Flight Simulator X Acceleration, Gold or Steam versions only. It may work, but has not been tested, with P3Dv2.x and P3Dv3.x. It will not work correctly with P3dv4.x

Amazing representation of the TA-4! Runs on my system very very well which is far below the noted product minimum requirements. I’m only using this offline and without TAC PAC so if you have a system like the following - FSX STEAM win 10 Intel i7 16GB ram Intel UHD630 integrated GPU with 128MB dedicated visual mem, then you can easily have a great experience flying this gem as I have. No chug or any hiccups flying this with specs far below the noted product minimums. Probably needs the higher mins if being use in multiplayer with TAC PAC? Anyway, I love this plane and everything’s about it feels right! Knocked one star because there’s no back seat camera.

Probaly one of my favorite creator simply TOP great graphic details great accuracy everithing is top level in all the models and I say in all the models that he made have at least one model in the collection is a must

Reccomended for simmers loving agile-fast jets - beautiful/detailed visual model and paints - Tacpacked - I give it 4 stars because 5 stars are only for more in-depth simulated systems Aircraft.
