This add-on replaces the default MSFS ground textures on La Palma with custom high-resolution color-corrected aerial imagery. It also improves the scenery in several ways and includes optional mesh.

1. Aerial Imagery

Version “Standard” (6.0 GB): high resolution and very high resolution around the airport, best ratio between sharpness of textures and file size – recommended for the majority of users
Version “Premium” (17.4 GB): very high resolution on the whole island – recommended if you want the best experience while flying low and slow
Improvements over the default MSFS ground textures include:
- realistic manual color correction that brings La Palma to life
- sharper image with more visible details (e.g. rock structure)
- no green tint, especially no green roads and no green sand
- no clouds visible on the ground
- higher resolution (depending on the version used)

You can decide which version you would like to download and use. You can switch between versions anytime.

2. Mesh (DEM)

3 versions with resolutions of 2 m, 4 m and 10 m – you choose the best for your hardware and graphics settings
Mesh for the airports is included and has been adjusted to eliminate bumps on the ground
Please note: This mesh is an experimental feature. While scenery and textures are very FPS friendly, this mesh uses more hardware resources, especially the 2 m version. All of the above screenshots were taken with the 2 m mesh add-on.

3. Scenery

Upgraded Ports
- added docks and hundreds of hand-placed motorboats, sailboats, yachts, catamarans and ships to all ports on La Palma
- placed one container ship and a crane in the cargo area of Puerto de Santa Cruz
- placed one cruise ship with night lighting and a helipad that you can land on in Puerto de Santa Cruz
Enhanced Night Lighting
- added night lighting to all ports and piers
- hotel areas, pools, plazas, sports facilities, etc. are now illuminated at night
Appropriate Vegetation
- added palm trees and other typical vegetation to the cities
- improved vegetation to match with the aerial imagery (e.g. bushes instead of trees in rocky areas)
- removed incorrectly placed trees along the coast
Accurate Coastline
- applied a custom water mask to match the course of the simulator's ocean water with the coastline on the aerial imagery
- beaches, rocks and other parts of the coast that were partly underwater are now completely visible giving the coastline a more defined look
- fixed the issues with water flowing up cliffs
Other Improvements
- added 4 lighthouses (World Update 3 has to be installed for them to be visible)
- removed incorrectly placed buildings on top of fields, pools, sports facilities, etc.
- removed incorrect rivers

Aerial imagery, mesh and scenery are put together as separate add-ons and can be used independently of one another.

Compatibility

This add-on is compatible with the airport by Sim-Wings (no changes to the files necessary anymore).

Grat addon, creating details for VFR flight around the island, I've given 4 due to nit picking some breach texture along northen part of the island. See video. Outside of that really great addons to add into collection

What more to say, than La Palma looks as great as all the others so far. Adding Gran Canaria will make it finally to an amazing flight journey from any direction over the islands of the Canaries. Whether you fly in an ultralight, propeller plane or jet, it is a pleasure to see all this detail in real colours and sharp contours from any hight. The newly added boats and ships give this experience even a greater liveliness. Absolutely recommended!

Simplemente genial. Mejora muchísimo las texturas originales de Asobo, y en general, se reconocen perfectamente todos los sitios de interés de la isla. Gran trabajo, espectacular. Muy recomendable si vuelas por Canarias. Puedo decir exactamente lo mismo para las texturas de Tenerife, Lanzarote y Fuerteventura, que de momento son las islas que he descargado....MUY BUENO.
