This first-generation light bomber was manufactured in large numbers during the 1950s and set a number of speed and altitude records. Its adaptability meant that the aircraft also served in tactical bombing and photographic and electronic reconnaissance roles in conflicts on several continents.
This Canberra PR9 (Photo-Reconnaissance) variant is modelled in exceptional detail and features a true 3D cockpit with fully functional custom-coded fuel, electrical, fire detection and hydraulics systems.
High Definition textures are used throughout and a flight monitoring system is included, along with stereo cockpit sounds, authentic autopilot, custom GPS, interactive checklists for every phase of flight, accurate night lighting and numerous perfectly replicated animations.

REVIEW
"Just Flight’s virtual model of the English Electric Canberra PR.9 is a revelation... The best Just Flight product I've had the pleasure to fly!... A simulation of the Canberra PR.9 that can be enjoyed by both casual as well as ‘hard-core’ flight simmers alike... Whichever angle you view this aircraft, it looks impressive – the design team has fully captured the look and lines of the original. In fact, it has a photorealistic look to it... If you switch to the external view, you will be impressed with the attention to detail... Another standout feature of this Canberra simulation is the sound reproduction which is stunning and dynamic, particularly as you move around the exterior view" PC Pilot magazine (Platinum Award)

Amazing replication of such an icon. Not an easy plane to fly and especially challenging to land. Full of detail and exceptional textures. The plane is highly detailed with systems and an understanding of how it all works can make your life and flight more enjoyable. Like the real Canberra you can’t just throw full throttle and leave it there as it will overheat and possibly cause flame out. That extra attention to detail makes this such an amazing simulation. Totally worth it!
I'm surprised the first reviewer only gave this four stars even though his review was very positive. This is an absolutely excellent product and a perfect replication of the real thing. Yes it's hard to land and the autopilot has limited functions - just like the real thing! The VC is very immersive and the developer has managed to do what many others have failed at. The interior of British military aircraft of the day was black and only a few developers have been able to replicate the 3D feel of a black interior without it being too dark or lacking definition. This VC is perfect.
It's not a kick the tires and light the fires kind of aircraft - you do need to do a bit of study to be able to fly it. But there are 2D panels for everything and it's just a mouse click to bring up the one you need.
The Canberra was one of the most successful military aircraft the British ever made and this addon does it full justice. A great product!!!
This is a great simulation of the legendary Canberra. Amazing detail in every respect. A beautiful and accurate model, wonderful sounds and highly detailed systems. The autopilot is not very responsive, but i suppose that this is a hands on aircraft. Hard to land. This is a pilot's aircraft.
