DC Designs are proud to announce their first aircraft collection for Microsoft Flight Simulator! This F-15 Eagle package includes four highly detailed MSFS models: the F-15C, D, E and I 'Ra'am' Eagles.
DC Designs' F-15 Eagle is designed to provide a top-quality aircraft that is extremely detailed, yet less demanding to fly than today’s most complex procedural simulators. Equipped with all required avionics, and with custom-coded animations and systems, the DC Designs F-15 Eagle is designed to be accessible to all users without the need for intense study.
Fully native MSFS aircraft
All models have been coded with Microsoft Flight Simulator native 'Model Behaviors' animations and built to MSFS operational specifications to prevent issues with future simulator upgrades.
The DC Designs F-15 Eagles are fully compliant with MSFS native materials and make use of the new simulator's features such as rain effects and sounds, fully reflective glass, native aerodynamic sound structures, the new 'Modern' aerodynamics system with the ability to provoke 'departure spins', and customised visibility controls for wheel chocks, covers, GPU and guard.
The F-15 Eagles also contain custom-built and animated effects such as G-vapor, afterburners, and custom-modelled Head-Up Displays.
Other features include authentic night lighting which includes user-operated 'slime lights' for combat operations and custom-coded air-intake animations based on aircraft airspeed and angle-of-attack.
Numerous external animations including canopy, crew ladders, tail hook and control surfaces.
The F-15 Eagles are also fully compliant with Virtual Reality headsets.
Cockpit
Truly 3D virtual cockpits featuring accurately modelled ejector seats, controls and detailed texturing, each matching the respective variants

Crew figures in the virtual cockpit are coded to disappear when you occupy their seats
Front and rear cockpit positions included in all twin-seat variants
Aircraft systems
3D modelled dials, ADI, 'whiskey' compass and other high-detail instruments designed to emulate the appearance of the real F-15 Eagles
MFDs with visual layouts based on the real aircraft systems

Requirements
Microsoft Flight Simulator (i.e. the 2020 Standard, Deluxe or Premium Deluxe edition of Flight Simulator - NOT FSX or any previous edition)
I get that some folks don’t like the flight model, but it’s really not that bad. I feel that despite some minor flaws this is actually a pretty good add on. I remember the FSX version being a total dog, but that’s just not the case here. I do think that all things considered it’s a little over priced but if you gotta have an F15 collection this is the only option today.
The model is very well made with great attention to detail and it was fine to fly.
Unfortunately, since WU5 it is almost impossible to fly it longer than 3-5 minutes without CTD and more than a month later the update is still not available.
So where to start I will acknowledge that I'm dumb to have made this impulse buy ( ton of other reviews of it online) but really its crazy how ugly this plane is from the interior and it's not even fun to fly, there are like 6 buttons you can press/toggle and those are made with the lowest number of polygons. I would not mind paying 10€ for it but going for 34€ is a scam.
- Textures are super low res feels like I am in a time machine going back to FS2004
- 98% Inop switches, this is literally unstudy level, like it's actually making you dumber
- The flight model just doesn't make sense, trimming has almost no effect but that can be passed down to Asobo not having made the SDK completed. Turn rate is slow and flying at low speed makes me pull on the stick for dear life until an uneventful landing happens.
- The HUD is blurry it is always smearing the text like wet paint. It’s barely readable thank god I have tackIR to hug my screen.
Lesson learned I'll do more investigating next time before I buy something.
When you see what you can get for 20€ more this is a joke.
Bought this on release day as the F-15 is my favourite plane ever ( I photograph the real thing through the Mach Loop locally ) and it was great fun albeit a wee bit raw in places, but with each update it got better and better and now it’s absolutely stunning to fly, I’d recommend this to anyone who likes to actually fly planes and not rely on autopilot all the time, taking this beast low level in VR is simply mind blowing
I bought this game at Justflight back when it was only available there. I normally buy everything I can from SimMarket. But I do own the plane. I thought I'd leave a review since no one else has.
This is a good plane. It had issues at release. But after all the updates this is a now a very nice plane. I have no complaints. It handles well, looks great and has everything I need. But it is overpriced since it's not study level.
