Barcelona–El Prat Airport (IATA: BCN, ICAO: LEBL) (Catalan: Aeroport de Barcelona – el Prat, Spanish: Aeropuerto de Barcelona-El Prat), also known as Barcelona Airport, is an international airport located 12 km (7.5 mi) southwest of the centre of Barcelona, Spain, lying in the municipalities of El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, and Sant Boi.

It is the main airport of Catalonia, the second largest in Spain behind Madrid Barajas Airport and one of the busiest in the world. In 2015 Barcelona Airport handled a record 39.7 million passengers, up 5.7% from 2014. It is a main base for the main Spanish airlines like Vueling and a hub for Iberia or Air Europa, as well as the Irish low-cost giant Ryanair and the Irish carrier Norwegian Air International. The airport mainly serves domestic European destinations, also having flights to North America (United States of America and Canada), South America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru), Middle East (Egypt, Israel, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar), Asia (China, Singapore and South Korea), and Africa (Senegal, Gambia, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Ghana and Cape Verde).

The Barcelona–Madrid air shuttle service, known as the "Puente Aereo" (in Spanish), or "Pont Aeri" (in Catalan) literally "Air Bridge", was the world's busiest route until 2008, with the highest number of flight operations (971 per week) in 2007. The schedule has been reduced since February 2008, when a Madrid–Barcelona high-speed rail line was opened, covering the distance in 2 hours 30 minutes, and quickly became popular

Tale of two halves. Really detailed and good looking scenery but the VAS and FPS hit is huge when using PMDG NGX. It is of course partly to be expected giver the size of the airfield but desperately want an update to give lower res textures.

Low quality textures on terminals and repetitive textures. Not fully compatible with SODE and just 10 or 12 moving jetways...

Finally a developer who really knows what's important and what isn't at the big airports! Some people might complain about missing ground traffic. But that's seems exactly what performance benefits from. Very good FPS and VAS use in P3D for a handful less ground equipment. That's what I'm missing at almost every other big European scenery. The buildings and the ground textures look very, very good. The contrast of colors has been matched very well, as well as the choice between sharp and low res textures, in my opinion. I'm looking forward for the upcoming releases of European airports that could finally replace other aging sceneries of those places. You could conclude that JustSim's sceneries don't look exactly as detailed as FlyTampa's, FSDT's and Flightbeam's sceneries. But they "feel" extremely well anyway because of their good performance. Furthermore they're relatively cheap. And the fast development times certainly don't make it worse.

I'm using this airport togheter with Barcelona HD, Ftx Vector, it match perfectly. Nice looking, good FPS, good Vas usage, sometime it's flickering, bought many products from this guys, they are making excellent airports.

I bought this scenery because the Aerosoft version is not working in P3D. Happy with Performance. Details more than sufficient. At least you can fly a NGX approach without OOM. Yes there could be more details, but lets face it your VAS consumption would go overboard. So what is the point. If you want to replace the stock scenery with something more appealing go ahead an buy it

Thanks for the great work. Good performance. I flew for the first time in LEBL on the FSL A320-X with MYTRAFFIC 6 (40%) and it was great. Animated jetways SODE do their job perfectly. I recommend!

I endorse all the good comments for this product. Also good to have an updated version of Barcelona. A word on the developer. I had a texture issue. One email sent, swift response from Andrey and problem resolved within two hours. Always reassuring to know there is good support for product!!

I am very happy to see Justsim coming out with a scenery for Barcelona El Prat! This has been an airport I was hoping for a long time and the product lived up to the expectations. To start with, it is very much frame rate friendly and the VAS usage is negligible, this one won't OOM you. The textures are nice and sharp, detailed enough to be absolutely enjoyable. The airport itself, the aprons, the ramps are not overloaded with clutters, decals but there is more than enough placed here and there to make you believe you are in a living, breathing environment. Less is often more and this is a prime example. On the other hand, what is there, is there in a great quality. You might not see every single "foreign object debris" on the ramps but Justsim again managed to find the perfect balance between performance and quality. I am very happy that SODE jetways are now added too. Overall, Barcelona El Prat is another lovely airport from the Russian developers, these guys are very talented and what is best, is that they are very productive, looking forward to the next airport from Justsim! Strongly recommended!

I wanted to like this scenery, I really did. After seeing Nice, their best scenery yet, I had high hopes for LEBL. Sadly, what JustSim has delivered here is just not going to work… Yes there are good parts in the scenery, such as the crisp and detailed ground work according to P3Dv3 SDK, which I really like! Performance is excellent too, and the scenery is nicely embedded into FTX Global and OpenLC EU. But then you park your aircraft at the main terminal and you first discover that the electronic docking guidance is non-functional decoration. Then you see the extremely low-resolution textures on the main terminal when parked and you start to wonder, why is the tower building done with higher resolution texturing, even if you never see it up close, but the huge terminal, which you clearly see when parking in front of it, is a blurry mess? That should and could have been done a lot better, they managed to do LFMN with good resolution textures too, after all. Performance is extremely good, too good actually and one wonders why the airport is so sterile looking. FPS numbers would have easily allowed to place some baggage carts and other ground clutter between the gates to make it look less like a ghost airport. And the runway lights are still not good either. Part of the approach lighting as well as the centreline lighting is still way too dark and faint, you wouldn’t want to fly there in low visibility, it’s just not realistic that way. So while I do love their ground polygon work, I am really disappointed in the terminal texturing. And the other items mentioned are not helping either. No working safe-gate devices on an international airport, still no decent runway lighting, a sterile apron… Too bad quality has gone down again after Nice.

I think this is a fairly good stab at Barcelona... the pros are the performance and the fact the airport looks fairly convincing. Having said that the textures look fairly poor in places and the jetways are not convincing, but that means OOMs are not a concern here at all. I found the ILS onto 25L to be accurate when I flew the PMDG there, I disengaged the A/P at about 700 ft radio and the glideslope agreed with the papis and the LOC was in agreement with what I saw visually. The autogen on approach was slow to load but was pretty decent when it did, and the control tower is excellent, along with the ground markings. Some detail by way of static baggage trucks, pushback trucks etc by the gates wouldn't have gone a miss, either. Overall a solid representation of El Prat... I won't be rushing black to it like some other airports but it is decent, especially for lower end PCs and for those who aren't as bothered about precision accuracy when it comes to detail.
