Düsseldorf Airport (German: Flughafen Düsseldorf; until March 2013 Düsseldorf International Airport; IATA: DUS, ICAO: EDDL) is the international airport of Düsseldorf, the capital of the German state North Rhine-Westphalia.
It is located approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north of downtown Düsseldorf, and some 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-west of Essen in the Rhine-Ruhr area, Germany's largest metropolitan area.
Düsseldorf is the third largest airport in Germany after Frankfurt and Munich handling 23.5 million passengers in 2016.
It is a hub for Air Berlin and Eurowings and has Lufthansa's only long-haul route (to Newark) outside of its hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
The airport features three passenger terminals and two runways and is able to handle wide-body aircraft up to the Airbus A380.

Stay away from that scenery. I work at the airport and can say that it lacks a serious amount of work. Some details are missing or wrong if you need examples head over to their forum. THe performance is really bad. My frames are lower than at Flightbeams SFO, which packs 10x the detail of this scenery. The textures are wrong or lack detail. From the distance the scenery is okay but as soon, as you touch down, you want a refund. Examples: The gates have a yellow block where the number is visible. B04-7 are double and triple gates but the yellow sign doe not say that. It's a small detail but leads to massive confusion if you are unfamiliar as you see 1,2,3,5,6,8,9... Just wait for Aerosoft or download the freeware one from Thomas. It's better and free.

Well, it looks great in my opinion and have good fps. BUT the vas performance is very very bad...

Looks good but beware - if you have P3D v3.4, this scenery has a massive VAS footprint. It is the only scenery I have that I cannot use with the FSL A320 - there's not enough memory to even start the sim. I don't have OOM problems at all other than this. The problem is that you cannot configure lower settings with JustSim sceneries. It works fine with PMDG 737 but even then the VAS footprint is very high. Recommended if you have v4, Not recommended for v3.x

This scenery is really a let down by the ground textures. JUSTSIM other sceneries have better ground textures. It really is disappointing considering the buildings look great. You cannot see it easily from the distance but when taxiing it really shows.

Es fehlen die Rollwegbeleuchtungen an den Rollwegen K, K1, K2, K3 und zum Teil auch an L1 und N. Außerdem stimmt das Rollweglayout bzw. die Linienführung an und zwischen 23L und 23R nicht. Die Änderungen am realen Airport waren nur temporär und sind nun wieder im Ursprungszustand. Und nochmal zu Google Maps und Co.: Leider ist die Abbildung dort doch aktueller. Man sieht dort nämlich ganz genau, dass die genannten Änderungen längst rückgängig gemacht worden sind. Die gelben Kreuze und Taxiway-Linien sind nämlich wieder entfernt worden (schwarz). Ansonsten eine schöne Umsetzung. Hoffe jedoch, dass die von mir und von den anderen genannten Verbesserungswünsche noch irgendwie einfließen. Dann gibts auch von mir 5 Sterne.

I initially had a problem with the P3D V4 version, it made the sim crash to desktop but with some brilliant help from the developers via the Justsim forum it worked. I have now downloaded the update and it works with no problems at all. The scenery is excellent value and I can recommend it.

Es handelt sich hierbei jetzt nicht unbedingt um die beste Arbeit von Justsim; gegen den kürzlich veröffentlichten EDDH (Hamburg) kommt diese Version von EDDL nicht an. Ansonsten jedoch erwartet den Simmer gewohnte, hervorragende Justsim-Qualität; traumhafte Frameraten und sehr VAS-freundlich. Was einfach nicht stimmig ist, sind die entweder gar nicht oder an anderer Stelle übertriebenen Abnutzungsspuren (vor allem auf den Rwys") und die etwas zu steril gehaltene Szenerie allgemein. Dennoch: Den EDDL von Aerosoft habe ich "in den Müll" geworfen...

Zweifellos eine schöne Scenery. Ich gehe aber davon aus, dass die bisherigen Bewertungen nicht auf den FSX bezogen sind. Da gab es bis zum Fix für einige Bodentexturen so einige schwarze Felder auf dem Vorfeld. Die sind schnell behoben worden. Danke dafür. Trotzdem gebe ich nur 4 Sterne für die FSX Version. Irgendwie wirkt der Flughafen zu Clien und Unfertig. Bei mir wird der Tower nicht vollständig dargestellt. Ich meine damit die Außentreppen und die Glasscheiben. Er ist teilweise durchsichtig. Es gibt an einigen Gebäuden Texturflackern. AVCAD ist auch nicht so Doll. Da stehen A330-200 von Air Berlin auf Parkpositionen so eng zusammen, das sich die Tragflächen überschneiden. Sieht nicht gut aus. Ansonsten eine bessere Umsetzung als die Aerosoft Version. Wen diese kleinen Fehler in einem Update behoben sind, auch von mir 5 Sterne. Bis dahin schönen Flug.
