Stuttgart Airport (German: Flughafen Stuttgart, formerly Flughafen Stuttgart-Echterdingen) (IATA: STR, ICAO: EDDS) is the international airport of Stuttgart, the capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is christened in honor of Stuttgart's former mayor, Manfred Rommel, and is the sixth busiest airport in Germany with 11.832.634 passengers having passed through its doors in 2018. The airport is an important hub for Eurowings and features flights to several European cities and leisure destinations, as well as a long-haul service to Atlanta.

The airport is located approximately 13 km (10 km in a straight line) south of Stuttgart and lies on the boundary between the nearby town of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Filderstadt and Stuttgart itself. In 2007, the Stuttgart Trade Fair – the ninth biggest exhibition centre in Germany – moved to grounds directly next to the airport. Additionally, the global headquarters for car parking company APCOA Parking are located here.

Endlich eine schöne Scenery für den vergessenen Airport Stuttgart EDDS. Starte jeden Tag von dort nach Hamburg oder Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. Ein kleines Update wäre ja mal fällig, denn es tauchen einige kleine Fehler auf wie doppelter Airport und Bosch Überführung! Habe immer noch die erste Version "1.0.0" W.D.

Offensichtlich ist JustSim überfordert dem Airport Exclusions zu verpassen, so ist alles doppelt und man hat eine schöne Kraterlandschaft. Als Lösungsmöglichkeit kann man wohl in den offiziellen MSFS Ordnern was löschen, aber das wäre meiner Meinung nach nur bei Freeware angebracht. Der Anspruch an Payware ist ein anderer. Das Risiko die Installation zu zerschießen und gglfs beim nächsten MSFS Update Probleme zu erzeugen ist es das nich twert. Wenn man Zitate von Supportanfragen in Foren liest, sieht Justsim auch keine Veranlassung da was zu verbessern und schiebt die Schuld auf Asobo. Das Problem mit den Navaids konnte ich selber nicht nachstellen, weil ich die Navdaten vor dem Flug installiert hatte. Mir fehlt aber auch die Lust das zu testen, weil es egal ist ob man mit oder ohne in einer Kraterlandschaft landet. Fazit: Schrott zum Geld abgreifen. meine Lösung: Auf Justsim Addons verzichten.

The airport is actually fairly detailed and nicely modelled, not much to complain in that area. Textures is an other topic I'm afraid. The textures put on the ATC tower are rather gross, featuring 2D-out-of-perspective blurry textures that are not at all what you would expect from a MSFS add-on. Then again, the hand-crafted EDDS delivered by Asobo did miss out the tower completely, so let's call it a draw shall we? Luckily it is located quite far away off the runway, so you won't see that much. The main terminal interior is all blurry 2D textures too. That doesn't matter during daytime, but obviously you can see that clearly during night hours. It's not that bad since the night textures for the windows and glass front are OK regarding perspective. What really bothers me, and I can't think of a reason as to why Justsim did this; Surrounding all taxiways and the runway one can see this generic repetitive band of grass texture that does not match to the surrounding aerial image at all, meaning it's a completely different shade of green. All they had to do really was to at least use a grass texture that features the same blueish-green colour and it would have looked fairly OK. But as it is currently it simply looks artificial and out of place and is thus kind of destroying the immersion during daytime. And I just don't see a reason for this at all. Were it not for that off-colour grass texture, my rating would have been higher. It is still a good step up in quality from the Asobo EDDS though. For this being a P3D convert the price is rather high, but if you must have a Stuttgart airport in your collection, this one is still the one to get. Otherwise I'd recommend to look at other German airports.

Leider ist der Flughafen nicht ganz kompatibel. Die Taxiways zur RWY25 befinden sich in einem Graben. Man muss den Originalen Flughafen von Asobo löschen um den Fehler zu beheben. Ansonsten gut gelungen und prima,dass es ein Updateangebot gibt.

Actually a beautiful scenery. As other users have already noticed, without a navigraph subscription, the arrivals and departures are totally missing here. I repeat it again ... SID and stars for a payware are completely missing if you do not have a navigraph subscription I haven't seen any scenery to this day, it works at other Justsim Airports. Except in Stuttgart. There are freeware providers for this airport, they get something to do here ... justsim not. Poverty and money-making. They are also waiting for an update. It was the last scene from this company.

Dont get me wrong. I really like all your scenery´s and I really enjoy them BUT. 23 euros for a scenery and no NAV DATA?! I am very happy about the way EDDS looks now and to finally have my hometown airport in MSFS- Big thanks for that! I used a freeware download from a popular website for free mods before. They did ok with the scenery but yours defenetly looks like the real EDDS. But they were able to provide all NAV Datas, again for free. I am really hoping for a very soon update here and to turn 3 stars in 5.

Unfortunately just 2 stars...not because the airport is crappy but because it doesn't have SIDs and STARs included (at least for the standard world map in MSFS and non navigraph users). At least I haven't found a way to get it working... I reached out to the dev and they told me it's a fault on asobos side and they'll fix it. I just have the feeling that's not entirely true because even many freeware devs (Gravity for example) get it working. Optically it's beautiful, even though I'd have wished for a little more detail (like the Sim Wings EDDM which has the same price and is like 4x the size). All in all if you want a brautiful airport, go ahead, you'll mist likely not be disappointed. If you want a fully funcional one go with the Gravity freeware instead (for now 30.03.2021). If it changes and everything works as intended, this one will be the best of both worlds

Ein Hallo an alle Flugbegeisterte von mir. Ich hatte auch das gleiche Problem mit diesem Flughafen wie oben beschrieben.Sid-Departures und Star-Arrivals waren nicht möglich. Und jetzt ein Tip von mir. Zusätzlich zu dieser Software,welche im offical/OneStore Ordner installiert wird, habe Ich die Freeware von Gravity im Community-Ordner installiert. Und siehe da....SiD und Stars sind im FMC verfügbar. Somit sind An und Abflüge von EDDS möglich.Da EDDS von JustSim im übergeortneten Orner installiert wird, werden die Texturen usw. von der Freeware ignoriert. Keine doppelten Texturen Landebahnen usw.. Möchte noch erwähnen das ich mit der A32NX-Freeware von Fly by Wire Team unterwegs bin. Probier es aus, and Have Fun.Bye Bye

Also ich muss hier mal eines klar stellen, dass es nicht stimmt was hier einige User schreiben nämlich das ILS nur mit Abo Navigraph möglich wäre..das ist absoluter Quatsch !!! Die Richtige ILS Frequenz findet man auch in Vatsim kostenlos und funktioniert einwandfrei !!! Ich hab es mit dem neuen CRJ 500 sowie 700 von Aerosoft getestet als auch mit dem A320 von flybywire ! Einwandfreie Landungen...Flugplan erstellt mit Simbrief. Der Flughafen ist sehr gelungen und absolut weiter zu empfehlen. Ich hatte den Flughafen direkt im Marketplace gekauft.

ich schließe der Beurteilung vor mir an. ILS Anflug, SID+Star nur mit Navigraph Abo möglich. Das finde ich schon sehr frech. Wenn das so ist, sollte es auch in den Systemvoraussetzungen vermerkt werden. Ansonsten wäre die Umsetzung top
