Varna Airport (Bulgarian: Летище Варна, Letishte Varna) (IATA: VAR, ICAO: LBWN) is the airport of Varna, the historical maritime capital of Bulgaria. Varna Airport is the third largest airport in Bulgaria and an important destination during the summer leisure seasons. The airport is located 10 kilometers from the center of Varna near the town of Aksakovo. The airport serves Varna and northeastern Bulgaria.

Dieses Addon ist sehr gelungen, um es kurz zu halten. Was mich nur stört sind die Taxiway Texturen, welche nicht gut, sondern merkwürdig matt-glänzend aussehen und somit etwas unrealistisch wirken. Dennoch eine Kaufempfehlung!

A fair recreation of this smaller airport, but I can't be happy with the product. As has been mentioned in an earlier review, texture recycling from previous releases is evident, but not a big deal. I wish they had been more careful with placing the autogen vegetation and buildings around the airport. For example on the border fence south of the airport parallel to the runway, one can clearly see flat trees and bushes on the photo texture, but only a tiny amount of trees has been planted there. And the city texture, while being populated by some custom building types, has many big gaps in building placement, even on the highest autogen setting one overflies many flat photo layer buildings on final. That can be done better, other developers have demonstrated that very well. My biggest problem though is with the night lighting, or the runway lights to be more exact. Unfortunately the centreline lights of the runway are completely missing, and the runway threshold lights (green and red) are so small and faint, you can only see them when standing right in front of them. But they should be almost the same intensity as the runway edge lights. This is unacceptable. So 2 stars only from me, mainly because of the very bad runway lights. It would not be hard for the developer to fix this, unfortunately so far they haven't done so and instead continue to throw out one airport after the other. I wish they would fix things like this before moving to the next project.

Recently, I ordered by simMarket scenery of airport of my home town of Varna. From a little kid i love aviation and more than 30 years go there to watch planes taking off and landing. I was shocked by all the details carefully and inconspicuous recreating the atmosphere of the airport. JustSim team has put a lot of work, and the result is a scenary of the highest class. The airport is full of moving Jetways, great textures taxiways and runway, buildings are an exact replica of the real thing and 200 square kilometers of the area transferred You in reality. Good job JustSim and big thank You!

Thank you for a beautiful scene. Very nice landing on the 27 runway. A special thank you for adjacent areas to the airport. Very detailed and beautiful. Waiting for new releases from this maker. Good luck guys.

On par with their other releases. Texture reuse seems kind of high (see LOWL, LEGE) This is their 3rd release since January. If the recycling continues this would be my last purchase from them unless it was an airport I was really dying to get my hands on. I'll give this 4 stars but I'd really prefer 3.5. No performance issues to speak of.

It's from Justsim, so I had to get it on day one ... ;-) Took a helicopter flight with very high graphics settings and was impressed with the details, the many points of interest and the covered area. Then forgot about my graphics settings and loaded the PMDG NGX ... VAS usage was still o.k., frame rates were very good, and now I am on my way into Pristina. It looks like the VAS footprint of Varna has been completely unloaded, so well done again again, Justsim. I also like the colouring and the harmony between this scenery and ORBX Global Base. LBWN may not be a "Mega Airport", but considering its quality and the surrounding scenery supplied it's well worth the price asked (even incl. 19% German VAT in my case).

Bulgaria, Black Sea coast... How I missed it from the world of flight simulation! Varna (and Bourgas), two popular summer holiday destinations yet no developers so far made them available for us. Until now. But I have to tell you, it was well worth the wait! Justsim's Varna is top quality! This scenery is awesome, superb modelling, great textures and excellent FPS. I am very, very happy with the purchase! Finally, the Bulgarian Black Sea coast appears on the flight sim map, thanks to Justsim, with this beautiful scenery of Varna. I strongly recommend it! One of my "wishes" came true - the other one would be a Riga (EVRA) airport, which is still sorely missing...
